     Ila Marie Akers Ila Marie (Akers) Cecil, age 94, of Townsend, DE, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022. Born in Arista, WV, on April 14, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Wiley Wesley and Lois Rose (Elvy) Akers. Ila was married in 1950 and cherished the ability to work as a homemaker, raising their three children. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, needlepoint, and sharing her crafts with her family. In addition to her parents, Ila is preceded in death by four brothers and two grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Robert Lloyd Cecil; children, Barbara A. Cooke, Robert D. Cecil, Sr. (Margaret), and Sandra K. Sheats; 5 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.² She was born on April 14, 1927 at Arista, Mercer Co., West Virginia.^1,3,2 As of June 23, 1950,her married name was Cecil.¹ She married Robert Lloyd Cecil, son of Leo Lloyd Cecil and Minnie Margie Hall, on June 23, 1950 at Hinton, Summers Co., West Virginia.^1,2 Ila Marie Akers died on January 2, 2022 at Townsend, New Castle Co., Delaware, at age 94.²

Powell of Emporia, Va; four stepdaughters, Melody Hall, Jeanette Waters of Amelia Courthouse, Va., Inez Sipe of North Port, Fla., and Ellen Schmidt of DeBary, Fla; two sisters, Phyllis Saunders and Mildred Clark, both of Roanoke, Va; one brother, Milton Reid of Virginia Beach, Va. Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Skippers, Va., with Rev. Kenneth Williams officiating. on December 23, 2007.²

     Edith June McIntosh was buried at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Blvd., Denver, Denver Co., Colorado.⁴ She was born on June 20, 1934 at Charlotte Co., Virginia.^1,2,4,3 As of December 1, 1957,her married name was Hall.¹ She married Charles Malcolm “Mac” Hall, son of Dallas Lacy "Dal" Hall and Maude Elizabeth Gillespie, on December 1, 1957 at Appomattox, Appomattox Co., Virginia.¹ Edith June McIntosh and Charles Malcolm “Mac” Hall were divorced on November 15, 1978 at Greensville Co., Virginia.² Edith June McIntosh died on September 7, 2009 at age 75.⁴

     Anna Lou Lambert was buried at Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.² She was born on January 12, 1927 at West Hamlin, Lincoln Co., West Virginia.^2,3 As of circa 1947,her married name was Chase.² She married Elmie Emmett Chase, son of Emmett Milton Chase and Fannie Florence Purdy, circa 1947.^1,2 Anna Lou Lambert died on July 21, 2008 at Huntington, Cabell Co., West Virginia, at age 81.^3,2 She Anna Lou Lambert Chase, 81, of Scott Depot died July 21, 2008, at the Hospice House, Huntington. Born Jan. 12, 1927 in West Hamlin, she was a daughter of the late Rufus P. Sr. and Ollie A. Lambert. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Rufus P. Jr., Larry Reginald and Winston Ceral; and her sisters, Doris Jean Hodges and Lois Lee Bentley. She was retired from Columbia Gas Transmission and was a member of the Teays Valley Missionary Baptist Church, Hurricane. Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Elmie E. Chase; her son, E. Randall Chase of Elkview; her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Donald P. Wilson of St. Albans; her grandchildren, Sean Chase, Trevor Chase and his wife, Mandy, and Elizabeth and Ashley Wilson; and her great-grandchildren, Matthew and Thomas Chase. Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 24, at Chapman Funeral Home, 3941 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane, with Pastor Bruce Young officiating. Entombment will be in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. on July 23, 2008.²
