He was a retired millwright from Union Carbide Corporation and a U.S. Air Force Veteran. Denver was a devoted Christian, spending much of his time witnessing to many people. He is survived by his loving wife, Diana Elmore; sons, Jason (Chrissy) Elmore of Columbus, Ohio, Johnathan (Jenna) Elmore of Elkview and Tony (Cindy) Elmore of Clendenin; daughters, Becky Neal of Walton and Jessica Hudson of Clendenin; and his precious 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be noon Friday, June 4, in the Elmore/Scott Cemetery, Quick. on June 3, 2010.2

Shirley Jean Horton and Denver Lewis Elmore were divorced.3 Shirley Jean Horton was buried at Spring Hill Cemetery, Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.2 She was born on February 3, 1938 at Bomont, Clay Co., West Virginia.4,2 As of June 25, 1958,her married name was Elmore.1 She married Denver Lewis Elmore, son of John Lewis Elmore and Ruth Marie Scott, on June 25, 1958 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.1 Shirley Jean Horton died on November 1, 2012 at West Virginia at age 74.4,2 She Shirley Jean Elmore, 74, of Charleston, W.Va., passed from this life into the full expression of God's kingdom on Thursday, November 1, 2012, at the home of her son, in the presence of her family. She was born on February 3, 1938, at home in Bomont, W.Va. She is the daughter of the late Albert Henry Horton and Lily Mae Johnson. She worked at West Virginia Workers Compensation from 1979 to 2001 as an Office Assistant. We take this moment to thank all her fellow workers who supported her and who willingly donated their vacation time to enable her to recover from cancer to return to work long enough to retire. She has been a faithful member of her loving family at the Fellowship of Praise in Quick, W.Va., pastored by Jeff and Jackie Moales, since 1979. She devoted her life to loving her family and living a life proclaiming the goodness of God. She is survived by her son, Tony (Cindy) Elmore of Clendenin, and her daughters Jessica Hudson of Clendenin and Becky Neal of Walton, W.Va. She is survived by eight grandchildren; Steven (Farrah) James, Heather (Bruce) Fittro, Andrew Elmore, Billie Jo James (fiance, Kevin Edwards), Melinda Elmore, Cristina Elmore, Jacob Neal and Shirley Elmore. She is survived by four great-grandchildren; Kaley Fittro, Gabe Fittro, Kingston James, and Audrey James. She is survived by three brothers; David (Pat) Horton of North Carolina, Larry (Donna) Horton of New York, and Troy Horton of Florida. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and co-workers. The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation for the tender care that their mother received from HospiceCare. Visitation will be held from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, November 4, 2012, Hafer Funeral Home in Elkview, W.Va. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, November 5, 2012 and conducted by her Pastor Jeff Moales. Graveside services will be held at the Spring Hill Cemetery in Charleston, W.Va. on November 3, 2012.2

"Andy" Cockman circa 1980.1 Barbara Ann Burk died on August 15, 2011 at Hinesville, Liberty Co., Georgia, at age 63.1,3,2 She Barbara Ann Cockman, 63, of Hinesville died Monday, August 15, 2011, at her residence while under the care of hospice after a brief illness with family by her side. Mrs. Cockman was a native of Mercy, W.Va., who was born on Nov. 20, 1947, to the late Robert and Frances Burk. She had lived in Liberty County since 1988, having moved here from Germany. Mrs. Cockman was a member of Grace Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and was a Sunday school teacher in the nursery for more than 21 years. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Burk. Survivors are her husband of 31 years, Andy Lee Cockman of Hinesville; son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Kathryn Bowden of Midway; daughter and son-in-law, Neda and John Churchwell of Reidsville; six granchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 19, at the Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home in Flemington. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20, at Grace Baptist Church in Hinesville with Pastor John Mills officiating. Burial will follow in the Hinesville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Scharnagl, Mike Welter, Terry King, Michael Goodson, Russell Howe and Hank Churchwell. on August 16, 2011.1
