Saunders, 89, of Millwood, WV, passed away February 14, 2017, in Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg. She was born November 23, 1927, in Letart Falls, OH, the daughter of the late Raymond Asbury and Josie Louetta (Park) Sayre. Her husband, Avis “Sam” Saunders; sisters, Fay Merical, Mildred Scarberry and Leona Sayre and brothers, Millard “Bub” Sayre, Jack Sayre and Telford Sayre also preceded her in death. Leota was formerly employed in a factory and an assisted living facility while living in Florida. Following her and her late husbands retirement, they moved to Millwood, and she became a full time homemaker. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and attended Cottageville Chapter #16. Several nieces and nephews survive her.      Edward Leroy Vaughan Edward Leroy Vaughan (affectionately known as Buck or Bucky) departed this life on Friday, August 28, 2015, at Southside Regional Medical Center in Petersburg, Virginia. Born in Richmond, Virginia, on February 16, 1946, he is predeceased by his father, Leroy Allan Vaughan; his mother, Lois Marjorie (Saunders) Vaughan; two brothers, Robert Preston Vaughan and James Hall Vaughan; and his father-in-law, Dwight Ross Griffin. Left to cherish him in memory is his loving and devoted wife of 13 years, Donna Lee (Griffin) Vaughan, and his baby sister, whom he adored, Myrtle Ruth (Vaughan) Craig. Also left behind to miss him dearly is his daughter Diana Lynn Vaughan; his son, Jason Allen Chapell, and wife Alicia Marie Chapell; his daughter, Nicole Leigh Simmons; his mother-in-law, Barbara Jean (Brockway) Griffin; his sister-in-law, Sherri Helen Griffin; his brother-in-law, Thomas Anthony Griffin; one niece; two nephews; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and life-long friend, Larry King. Buck was extremely proud to protect his country in the United States Army, serving a tour in Vietnam. He was also an avid ham radio enthusiast with his dear friend George Golding. Buck was treasurer of the Richmond Amateur Telecommunication Society, director/instructor of Richmond Amateur Radio Club, and assistant ARES EC for Dinwiddie County, his call sign being KR4NL. He will be sorely missed by all the friends he made pursuing this exciting hobby. Buck loved his dogs, Ranger, Lena, Mali, Max, Oliver, and especially Prancer. Rest in peace, dear, sweet Buck.
