Lucian Herbert Jones Jr. Lucian Herbert "L.H." Jones, Jr., October 29, 1930 — March 27, 2023. Lucian H. Jones, Jr. (L.H.), passed away on March 27, 2023 as a result of an automobile accident. He was the son of the late Lucian Jones, Sr. and Ruth Perdue Jones. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, (Eugene, Adrian, Wincel), and a sister (Dalphene Swanson), and his beloved wife of 69 years, (Hazel Musgrove Jones). He is survived by his son, Lucian H. Jones, III (and wife Alicia) of Rocky Mount, his grand-daughter Lena Heather, two great grand-daughters, Raegan Miles and Olivia Kate (Lincolnton, NC), and many beloved nieces and nephews. L.H. was a talented, self-taught, and master craftsman in woodworking; from making salt and pepper shakers, to candlestick holders to a wooden cradle for his granddaughter Heather that was passed down to his great grand-daughters. He was truly and deeply loved; a humble man with a kind heart who would call you on your birthday to yodel happy birthday. He and his wife shared a passion for dancing in their younger year; he was an avid bowler and golfer. He was always there to help anyone in their time of need. He will be sadly missed by his loved ones. He also leaves behind his cherished and beloved kitties (Destiny, Larry, Curly, Moe and Shemp) who faithfully and lovingly helped him through the death of his wife Hazel. Special mention to all his friends at the Redwood Express Mart, who cooked for him, made him feel special, gave him light duties to do, checked on him every day when he was in the hospital, and created an atmosphere where he was truly loved and cared about. He appreciated and loved them so much.2 He married Hazel Musgrove.6,2 Lucian Herbert Jones Jr. was born on October 29, 1930 at Franklin Co., Virginia.2,7 He died on March 27, 2023 at Virginia at age 92.2
