     Maxine Elaine Ely Maxine Elaine Lilly went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, January 8, 2013. She was born to Elvin and Myrtle (Chandler) Ely October 4, 1930 in Heppner. Her childhood days were spent helping on the family homestead in Boardman, OR. She met her lifelong sweetheart, Eldon Lilly, while attending Boardman High School. The two were married on August 28, 1949 in Boardman, OR. They lived in La Grande, Oregon for 20 years before moving to Pendleton with their children, the 5 J's. Maxine worked as a Dietary Supervisor for Pendleton Community Hospital and later at Amber Valley Care Center up until her retirement. Her joy in life was to support and celebrate her husband, children and grandchildren in all their sports, hobbies and life moments. She made every event special. She is survived by her husband, Eldon; children Jim Lilly (Kennewick, WA), Jan (Brett) Cook (Pendleton, OR), Jay (Donna) Lilly (Central Point, OR), Jerry Lilly (Boise, ID), Joyce (Doug) Barak (Hermiston, OR), grandchildren Whitney Lilly, Paige Lilly, Holly (Blake) Starr, J.R. (Cynda) Cook, Jennifer (Dan) Ftich, Kristen (Ben) Kennedy, Dustin (Jamie) Lilly, Aubree Lilly, Jared Barak, Nathan Barak; Great Grandchildren, JR Starr, Connor Cook, Addyson Cook, Peyton Kennedy, Kinley Kennedy, Jaydon and Gage.² She was buried at Olney Cemetery, Pendleton, Umatilla Co., Oregon.³ She was born on October 4, 1930 at Heppner, Morrow Co., Oregon.^2,4,3 As of August 28, 1949,her married name was Lilly.¹ She married Eldon Kenneth Lilly, son of William C. Lilly and Doris O. Shannon, on August 28, 1949 at Boardman, Morrow Co., Oregon.^1,2 Maxine Elaine Ely died on January 8, 2013 at Oregon at age 82.^2,4,3
