He was a strong, gentle man who saw the best in everyone and was known to always be there for anyone who needed him. Cecil retired from Diebold with over 30 years of service. He was a deacon and devoted member of the Coopers Cove Baptist Church. He loved life, classic cars and his boxer, Abby. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Cyndy; daughters, Pamela (Jon) Lauder, of Springfield, Va., and Lisa (Peter) McCluskey, of Washington, D.C; stepdaughter, Arianne (Luke) Tinurelli Clark, of Blue Ridge, Va; stepson, Tony Tinurelli, of Roanoke; much loved grandchildren, Hallie and Gunnar Lauder and Peter and Philip McCluskey; and mother-in-law, Beatrice Peterson, of Roanoke. Also surviving are brother, Gene Kelley (Rosalind); and many cousins. He will especially be missed by cousin, Roger Guilliams; and life-long friend, Carl Epperly. We will treasure his smile, his wonderful sense of humor and the extraordinary tomatoes he grew and shared with everyone. on March 25, 2011.5
