Akers (Lynn Forbes), Calvin Myers, and Crystal Roberts; grandchildren, Tyler Akers (Sarah), Chad Shepard, Alisa Sale (Johnny), Charlotte Akers, Megan Forbes, Jonathan and Sidney Roberts; great grandchildren, Skylar, Charlie and Hudson Akers; sister, Brenda Jones; and brother, Wallace Brown.4 She was born on August 18, 1944 at Danville, Virginia.1,3 As of December 6, 1963,her married name was Akers.1 She married Steven Otha Akers, son of Otha Pelton "O.P." Webb, all of Roanoke; his great-grandchildren, Jordyn, Gary Wayne, Hannah, Sarah, Meagan, Micah, Ceira, Heather, Corey, Miranda and Jerze; his brother, Noah B. Funeral service celebrating his life will be held at Garden City Baptist Church, Friday, January 7, 2005, 2 p.m., with the Rev. Don McCaskill, the Rev. Aubrey Dooley and the Rev. Greg Naude officiating. Interment in Bandy Cemetery. on January 6, 2005.6
