He was a member of the Palestine Commandery 17 in Independence; Versailles Masonic Lodge 320 AF & AM; past member of Mount Washington Lodge in Independence; provost guard of the Central States Shrine Association; Ararat Shrine Temple in Kansas City; Versailles Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 410; past worthy matron nine times of Mount Washington Lodge in Independence, Barnett and Versailles Order of the Eastern Star. Other survivors include: two daughters, Jean Ellen Garnett, Versailles, and Loretta Greaves, Bolivar; two brothers, Creed Marriott, Versailles, and Waldo Denzil Marriott, Redding, Calif; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at United Methodist Church, Versailles. The Rev. Gailya Dow and the Rev. Jeanie Leeper will officiate. Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles, with Eastern Star and Masonic services at 7 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Shriners Hospitals for Children. on March 19, 2002.2
