Bobby served as a member of the Town Council and as Vice Mayor of the Town of Jonesville and served on the Lee County Social Service Board. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in the Korean Conflict. He was also a mason and an avid Lee County sports fan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Blackwell Stafford; his parents, Okey and Stella Vance Stafford; and one brother, Jack Stafford. Surviving are:Two sons: Rick Stafford of Jonesville, Virginia and Jimmy Stafford of Greenville, South Carolina, One daughter: Susie Bawcom and husband, Scott of Nashville, TN; Five grandchildren, Two great grandchildren; One brother: James Stafford of Iaeger, WV; Two sisters: Theodocia Cline and husband, Thurmond of Gilbert, WV and Barbara Cline and husband, Paige of Pineville, WV; Sister-in-law: Peggy Wells and husband, Glenn of Tip City, Ohio; Extended family: Larry, Janie, Ashley, Brittney, and Chealsey Brock of Pennington Gap, Virginia. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday at the Arney-Mullins Funeral Home in Jonesville, Virginia. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Jonesville First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Layne Pennington officiating. Burial will follow in Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, Virginia. on July 22, 2011.3

Cherishing his memory are his wife of 59 years, Joyce (Blackwell) Wells; daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy Anne and Emory VanScoy. He is also survived by his grandson, William Lee (Charity) VanScoy, two great-granddaughters, Saharra and Sabreena VanScoy and special family members, Lena Sloan and Jordan. He is also survived by numerous family members and close friends all over the states. Born in Jonesville, Virginia on November 26, 1930 to Virginia (Smith) and Ernest Wells and brother to Marlene (Arthur) Medley. Glenn was preceded in death by his beloved son, Gary Lee in 1972. Glenn attended Milligan College in Milligan, TN, with his interest toward business and finance. Glenn spent his life in the financial industry of banking and retired from then Star Bank as Assistant Vice President in 1993. Glenn was a Master Mason of the Mystic Lodge of Dayton, Ohio and a 32nd Degree member of the Valley of Dayton Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite and past president of the Cedarville Chamber of Commerce. Glenn survived during the Korean Conflict with the United States Air Force. He and his family are 40 year members of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Dayton, Ohio. on March 3, 2013.2
