Billy John "Bill" Horne was buried at Rosedale Cemetery, Ada, Pontotoc Co., Oklahoma.3,2 He was born on September 6, 1927 at Holdenville, Hughes Co., Oklahoma.3,2 He married Twylah June McGee on January 28, 1951 at Oklahoma.3 Billy John "Bill" Horne died on November 28, 2014 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Co., Oklahoma, at age 87.3,2 He ADA — Services for Bill J. Horne, 87, Ada, are at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ada First Baptist Church. Dr. Pat Kilby and Rev. John Haynes will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday at Criswell Funeral Home. Mr. Horne died Friday, Nov. 28, 2014, at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born Sept. 6, 1927, to William Chester and Eva Mae Hawthorne Horne at Holdenville. He graduated from Holdenville High School and Oklahoma State University. Mr. Horne was employed in the public accounting practice, presently serving as a tax consultant at Horne & Company P.C., Certified Public Accountants. He was a member of the Board of Directors at Vision Bank, currently serving as chairman. He had served on many community boards, often serving as director or president, including the Ada Chamber of Commerce, Ada Public Schools School Board, the Oklahoma Governor's Advisory Committee on Taxation, Ada Lions Club, Ada Community Chest, Ada Camp Fire Girls, Oklahoma Baptist University and was currently president of the Ada Industrial Development Corporation. Mr. Horne was a member of the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA) where he had served as President. He also served on the ethics and development committees, as well as president of the Ada chapter. He was inducted into the Oklahoma Accounting Hall of Fame and received the Public Service Award from the Oklahoma Society of CPA's. He was a member, served on committees and won awards from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Oklahoma State Board of Public Accountancy, the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy and the Kinslow Sonic Group. He was a member of Ada First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was also an honorary chief of the Methodist Indian Mission of Oklahoma. Mr. Horne served in the United States Navy from 1945 to 1949 and was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason. Mr. Horne and Twylah McGee were married Jan. 28, 1951, at the Cromwell Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Twylah of the home; a son, Bill Horne Jr. and his wife Mandy of Ada; two daughters, T. Jennone Horne Kessler and her husband Ned of Edmond, and Jeanetta Horne Bagwell and her husband Steve of Ada; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Chet Horne and Lee Horne. Bearers will be Bryan Harwell, Hank Walbrick, Dr. Laurin Patton, Capt. Dustin Ash, Cody Diffee, Jeremy Franklin, Trey Petty and Carson Thetford. on November 30, 2014.2

Lee Horne was buried at Rosedale Cemetery, Ada, Pontotoc Co., Oklahoma.3 He was born on July 9, 1937 at Holdenville, Hughes Co., Oklahoma.2,3 He married Judy Ruble on June 3, 1961.3 Lee Horne died on September 21, 2009 at Ada, Pontotoc Co., Oklahoma, at age 72.2,3 He ADA -- A memorial service for Lee Horne, 72, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ada First Baptist Church, the Rev. Pat Kilby officiating. A private family burial will follow. At Mr. Horne's request, there will be no viewing or visitation. Mr. Horne died Monday, Sept. 21, 2009 at his home in Ada. He was born in Holdenville July 9, 1937 to William Chester and Eva May (Hawthorne) Horne. He graduated from Holdenville High School and attended the University of Oklahoma on a football and basketball scholarship. He transferred to East Central State College and continued to play football for East Central until he received his undergraduate degree. He was married to Judy Ruble in Ada on June 3, 1962 (gravestone says 1961). He was football coach at Pawnee, Oklahoma from 1962 to 1964 and then continued his coaching career at Cameron University from 1964 to 1970. He earned his master's degree in 1966. In 1970 he moved to Ada and became a New York Life Insurance Agent. He remained an active and well-respected agent until his death. He had served in the Oklahoma National Guard, was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ada and was well-known for being a driving force for both Ada High School and East Central University Athletics. Mr. Horne was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Chester Horne. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Judy Horne of the home, two sons, Steve Horne and wife Allison, Ada, Jay and wife Kenda Horne, Ada; brother Bill Horne Sr. and wife Twylah Horne, Ada; three grandchildren, Cameron Horne, Ada, and Zachary and Joshua Horne, Ada; nephew Bill Horne Jr., Ada, nieces Jennetta Bagwell, Ada, and Jeonone Kessler, Edmond. Mr. Horne is also survived by his close friend and daily "coach," Ken Johnson and wife June, Ada. on September 22, 2009.2
