Surviving are his widow Dessie; three daughters, Mrs. Helen Dick, Geraldine McKern and Mrs. Sylvia Wicker, all of Des Moines; a brother, O. W. McKern of Rice, Wash., and two grandchildren. on May 13, 1958.⁷

Funeral Mass will be Friday at 1 p.m. at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church with burial service to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Mr. Kingsbury, who died Sunday, was born in Spokane. He grew up in the Spokane area and attended Gonzaga Preparatory School. He served in the Marine Corps during World War II. In 1948 he moved to Colville, where he worked as a lineman for Pacific Northwest Bell. He was a member of the Colville Volunteer Fire Department, the Spokane Volunteer Police Department and the Telephone Pioneers. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Patricia; two sons, Howard Kingsbury of Federal Way, Wash., and Michael Kingsbury of Concord, Calif; six daughters, Karol Price and Julie Williams, both of Spokane, Mary Mueller of Deer Park, Ruth Bennette and Patricia Hagen, both of Portland, and Eileen Harris of North Bend, Wash; a brother, John Kingsbury of Battle Ground; 22 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Spokane. on April 29, 2004.⁴
