Mrs. Lacey was born March 16, 1909, in Peterson, Utah, a daughter of Alfred Fingle and Agda Fornelius Bohman. She was married to Warren Thompson. They were later divorced. She was married to Jay Lacey on Oct. 17, 1940 in Shelley, Idaho. She was a member of the LDS Church and served in the MIA, Sunday School and Relief Society in the Petersson, Echo and Coalville Second wards. She was formerly postmistress at Peterson and worked in the Francis' Store in Morgan and Echo Post Office. Surviving are her husband, three sons and two daughters, Bob Thompson, Morgan, Tom Thomson, Stockton, Calif., Frank J. Lacey, Karen Lacey and Kathy Lacey, all of Coalville; nine grandchildren, three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Edith Toone, Mrs. Marion Harames, Mrs. Helen Angell, Frank Bohman, all of Morgan, Fred Bohman, Castro Valley Calif. Funeral services will be held Monday at 12 noon at the LDS Summit Stake Chapel in Coalville with Bishop Owen Staley officiating. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary in Coalville Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Monday prior to the services. Burial in Peterson Cemetery. on January 9, 1965.2

Robinson died on September 27, 2010 at Pendleton, Umatilla Co., Oregon, at age 98.2,3 She PENDLETON — Mable Robinson Lacey, 98, of Pendleton died Monday, Sept. 27, 2010, at St. Anthony Hospital in Pendleton. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 1 at Olney Cemetery in Pendleton. Mrs. Lacey was born May 16, 1912, near Geddes, S.D., to Braymen and Mary (Stevick) Robinson. She grew up on farms and attended county schools. In 1928 she married Paul Lynn Lacey. They and their son moved to Oregon in 1937. She lived in several communities in Oregon and Washington before settling in Pendleton in 1976. Paul died in 1987. Her second husband, Cecil Mitchum, died in 1993. She was a homemaker most of her life, and later on worked as a volunteer for many organizations, most recently with CAPECO. Mrs. Lacey is survived by son Derald Lacey of Fossil; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by granddaughter Kathleen Besinover July 5, 2010. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church of Pendleton. on September 29, 2010.2

     Derald Eugene Lacey was buried at Oddfellows Cemetery, Fossil, Wheeler Co., Oregon.2 He was born on May 14, 1929 at Bismark, Burleigh Co., North Dakota.2 He married Vera Lavonne Fox on August 3, 1950 at Umatilla Co., Oregon.1,2,6 Derald Eugene Lacey died on May 18, 2015 at Fossil, Wheeler Co., Oregon, at age 86.2 He Derald Eugene Lacey died May 18th, 2015, at the Haven House Retirement Center in Fossil, Oregon, of natural causes at the age of 86. Derald was born in Bismarck, North Dakota, on May 14, 1929, to Paul and Mabel Lacey. He had no siblings. Derald graduated in 1946 from Pendleton High School. He met his wife, Lavonne, at Woolworth's in Pendleton, Oregon, where they both worked. Derald and Lavonne married on August 3, 1950, and had three children: Diana Marie Lapp (1952), Kathleen Ann Bezinover (1954-2010), and Andrew Warren Lacey (1961). Derald worked for the U.S. Forest Service at Ukiah, Oregon, in 1950-1951 as a lookout. He went on to work for the State of Oregon Employment Office in Madras, Oregon. He then worked for the U.S. Gypsum in Pilot Rock, Oregon, during the 1960s, and was self-employed doing janitorial work during the 1970s and 1980s. He also worked for The Oregonian for many years, delivering newspapers to outlying areas around Pendleton. He served as treasurer for the United Methodist Church in Pendleton in 1970s and early 1980s. After moving to Fossil in 1985, Derald was active in the community, especially with the creation and management of Haven House. He served on the Board of Directors of Haven House for approximately ten years. He was a loving, supportive and steadfast husband and father, who enjoyed music, reading, miniature railroading, gardening and tent camping. Derald is survived by his son, Andrew Lacey and his wife Janel of Pendleton, Oregon, and his daughter Diana Lapp and her husband Fred Duerr of Newport, Oregon. Derald also leaves five grandchildren: Adrienne Lapp, Jessica Lapp, Nicholas Lacey and John Ryan Lacey, all of Pendleton, Oregon, and Candace Camarillo of Portland, Oregon. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lavonne, and his daughter Kathleen. Derald was buried in a private graveside service for close friends and family on Friday, May 22, 2015, at the Oddfellows Cemetery in Fossil, Oregon. A memorial service will be held June 27th at 11 a.m. at the Fossil United Methodist Church, with a luncheon to follow. on May 28, 2015.2

LaVonne graduated in 1946 from La Grande High School, then attended Eastern Oregon University until 1949. She met her husband, Derald Lacey, where they both worked at Woolworth's in Pendleton, Ore. Derald and LaVonne married on Aug 3, 1950, and had three children: Diana Marie Lapp (1952), Kathleen Ann Bezinover (1954-2010), and Andrew Warren Lacey (1961). She returned to Eastern Oregon University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, and later a master's degree from the same school in education. LaVonne taught English and remedial reading at Helen McCune Junior High School in Pendleton, Oregon, from 1969 through 1984. She became the Methodist minister for the congregation in Fossil, Ore., in 1985 and served in that capacity until 1991. LaVonne was a skilled seamstress and had a passion for quilting. She was an avid reader, enjoying all types of fiction and non-fiction, though her all-time favorite was reading her Bible to develop a deeper relationship with her Lord. She loved the vigorous exchange of ideas, but was best known for her kind heart and words. She is survived by her husband, Derald Lacey of Fossil, Ore; son Andrew Lacey and his wife Janel of Pendleton, Ore; and daughter Diana Lapp and her husband Fred Duerr of Newport, Ore. LaVonne also leaves five grandchildren: Adrienne Lapp, Jessica Lapp, Nicholas Lacey, and John Ryan Lacey, all of Pendleton, Ore., and Candace Camarillo of Portland, Ore. LaVonne will be buried in a private graveside service for close friends and family on Saturday, February 14, 2015, at the Oddfellows Cemetary in Fossil, Oregon. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at the Fossil United Methodist Church, with a luncheon to follow. on February 10, 2015.2

She was born Jan. 2, 1954 in Portland and grew up in Pendleton. She was a talented musician studying voice and viola with the first Suzuki program in the United States. She was a regional finalist in the Metropolitan Opera Auditions and went on to study voice with Leslie Breidenthal at the University of Oregon in Eugene, earning her bachelor's degree. After a year in Germany making choral recordings with Maestro Helmut Reiling, she returned to Eugene to earn her master's degree and continue voice training. In 1985, she relocated to New York City where she met her husband, Charlie, a tenor at an opera rehearsal. They were married Nov. 24,1990 in Eugene but made their home in New York. She continued vocal studies with the internationally renowned teacher Rita Patane and with Gildo DiNuccio of the Metropolitan Opera. She became the leading soprano with the Long Island Opera and performed more than 20 leading opera roles. Kat, as she was affectionately known to everyone, and Charlie relocated to West Palm Beach, Fla., where they both performed for seven years with Palm Beach Opera under the baton of the late Maestro Anton Guadagno. In September 2000, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and came home to Oregon. During the past 10 years, she and Charlie traveled extensively in Europe, the Middle East, Alaska and Mexico. She continued performing concerts in Newport at the Performing Arts Center with her friends Jess Smith and Marylee Scoville and the Central Coast Chorale. She and Charlie organized and performed with other local talent in the Voices for Life Concert Series hosted by the Samaritan Lifesaver's Relay for Life Team, raising funds for cancer research. She is survived by her husband, Charlie; parents, Lavonne and Derald Lacey of Fossil, Ore; grandmother, Mabel Lacey of Pendleton; brother, Andrew Lacey of Pendleton; sister, Diana Duerr of Newport; and nieces, Candace Fox Camarillo of Portland and Adrienne Lapp, Jessica Lapp, Nicholas Lacey and John Ryan Lacey all of Pendleton. At her request, no viewing will be held. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 19, at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Newport, followed by interment of her ashes at Eureka Cemetery in Newport. A Voices For Life concert will be held in her memory and in celebration of her life at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, at the Newport Performing Arts Center. Bateman Funeral Home in Newport is handling arrangements. on July 14, 2010.4
