     Coleman Walter Kidd Coleman Walter Kidd, 63, died Monday, June 2, 1986, in Blue Ridge Hospital. He was the son of the late Augustus and Lula Bryant Kidd. He is survived by two sons, Wayne Kidd of Alexandria and Gary Kidd of Schuyler; one daughter, Mrs. Shirley Abel of Alexandria; one brother, Clarence Kidd of Charlottesville; three sisters, Mrs. Virginia Gentry of Schuyler, Mrs. Nettie Diehr of Winchester, and Mrs. Nancy Ripley of Charlottesville; ten grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, Scottsville, 2 p.m. Thursday, with interment in Gentry family cemetery, Schuyler, The Rev. Clark and the Rev.      Thomas Lamar Bufford married Grace Margaret Carroll, daughter of Iverson Winfrey Carroll and Eva Jane Bryant.¹ Thomas Lamar Bufford was born on July 2, 1921 at Fulton Co., Georgia.^4,3 He died on December 4, 2012 at Goochland, Goochland Co., Virginia, at age 91.^4,2,3 He Thomas Lamar Bufford, 91, of Howardsville, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012 at Envoy at the Meadows in Goochland. Born on July 2, 1921, in Fulton County, Ga., he was a son of the late Thomas Allen Bufford and Ella May McGee Bufford. In addition to his parents, his wife, Grace M. Bufford; his children, Wayne and Gary Kidd and Patricia K. Barker; granddaughter, Tanya Barker; nephews, Tommy and Jimmy Bufford; and siblings, Noel Arnold and Loyd and James Bufford, preceded him in death. Thomas was a life member of The United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing with his kids, grandchildren and friends. He is survived by his daughter, Shirley Kidd Abel; grandchildren, David, Jennifer, Darren, Gary Jr., Derrick and Daniel Kidd and Teresa and Mitchell Barker; great-grandchildren, Zack, Hunter, Morgan Barker, Austin, Emma and Avery Abel and Madison, Andrew and Cory Kidd; great-granddaughter, Hollie LuAnn Barker; nephew, Loyd D. Bufford Jr; niece, Velva Alveraze; great-nephew, Steve Smith; great-nieces, Angela, Missy, Jennifer, Robin and Cheyenne Bufford; friends, Jane McDaniel and Jack Vance; and his pet, Casey. A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012 at Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel in Lovingston. on December 12, 2012.³

Funeral service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, Scottsville, Va. Wednesday, Jan. 29 at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Jeff Clark, interment will be in the Holly Memorial Gardens in Charlottesville. on January 28, 1986.²

Vernon was born March 4, 1951, in ChartottesvHie, a son of the late Coleman Walter Kidd and Margaret Carroll Kldd. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Barker, and a brother, Wayne Kidd. He was a former employee of the Scottsville IGA, attended Schuyler Baptist Churh, was an avid hunter and fisherman, and a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him. He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 30 years, Virginia Sue Lacey Kidd; his three sons, Vernon Gary Kidd, Jr. and his wife, Melissa, Derek A. Kidd and Daniel C. Kidd, all of Schuyler; his sister, Shirley Ann Abel of Buckingham; his three super grandsons, Corey E. Kidd. Andrew C. Kidd and Jared Clements; several nieces and nephews; and last but not least, his loyal and special friend, Clarence E. Booth of Schuyfer. The family wishes to offer a special thanks to Dr. Lori Bubb, for all her care and treatment of Vernon, and also a very special thanks to a devoted caregiver and friend, Eula Clark. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at the graveside in the Gentry Cemetery at Schuyler, with the Reverand Mitchell Barker offlciating. on April 2, 2007.⁵
