Paul Pack, 56, of 809 Longson Ave., was pronounced dead at 12:20 a.m. today in Elyria Memorial Hospital. Dr. Robert Thomas, Lorain County coroner's investigator, said today. Pack died of a cerebral hemorrhage. Mr. Pack collapsed about 6 p.m. yesterday at the height of excitement when one of his players hit a home run early in the game at the Lexington Avenue field. Two unidentified nurses administered artificial resuscitation to Mr. Pack. near the dugout where he collapsed, until Elvria Fire Department rescue units arrived. Mr. Pack was managing the Little League East team sponsored by Sudro-Curtis Funeral Home in last night's game against Ridge Tool's team. The game was cancelled after Pack was taken to the hospital. A 24-year resident of Elyria, Mr. Pack managed a number of Little League teams for 21 years, including teams sponsored by Ohio Vending Co. and Dr. Pepper Bottling Co. For the last seven years, he was owner of the Alwin Extermination Co., Elyria. Before that he was employed by the Elyria Board of Education as a maintenance worker. Mr. Pack was born in Charleston, W.Va. Dec. 4, 1914. He was a member of the Eagles and Moose Lodges. Surviving are his wife, Mildred; a daughter, Mrs. James (Rebecca) Dillinger, Vermilion; four sons, Paul and Walter, both of Elyria, Raymond of North Olmsted, and Earnest Webb of Kettering; six grandchildren; two brothers, Claude of Modessa, Calif., and Walter of Charleston, W.Va., his mother, Mrs. Annie Pack, Charleston; and two sisters, Mrs. Marian (Edith) Taylor, Charleston and Mrs. C. O. (Nan) Rogers, of Pomeroy. Friends may call at the Reichlin Funeral Home tomorrow from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Harley Doncan, pastor of the Church Of Nazarene, officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens. on May 4, 1971.5 He died on May 4, 1971 at Elyria, Lorain Co., Ohio, at age 56.3,5
