     Roger Franklin Dula Mr. Roger Franklin Dula, age 67, of Ferguson, died Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at his home. He was born December 1, 1947 in Caldwell County to Conrad Franklin and Kate Lois Wolfe Dula. Mr. Dula was baptized at Green Mtn. Baptist Church and a US Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Bruce Dula. Surviving are his wife, Nina Watson Dula of Lenoir; son, Roger Martin “Marty” Dula of Lenoir; two grandchildren, Afton Dula and Kirstie Dula both of Lenoir; five great grandchildren, Jakob Dula, Gage Land, Jayci Tallent, Makennah Tallent, Sawyer Coffey; his mother, Kate Wolfe Dula; brother, Mike Dula of Hays; three sisters, Carolyn White of Ferguson, Mary Ellen Severt and Janet Aguero both of North Wilkesboro. Funeral service will be held 2:00 o’clock Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Davis Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Hadley Triplett and Rev. Brian Severt officiating. Burial with military honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Honor Guard Post 1142 will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Davis Memorial Baptist Church from 1:00 until 2:00 o’clock on Saturday, prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted. Survivors include: one daughter, Brandi Dula of Abingdon,VA; three sons, William Dula, Timothy Dula and wife Emily all of North Wilkesboro,Tommy Dula of Abingdon,VA; his mother Kate Dula of Ferguson; three sisters, Carolyn White and husband Oscar of Ferguson, Mary Ellen Severt, Janet Aguero both of North Wilkesboro; two brothers, Roger Dula and wife Nina of Ferguson, Michael Dula and wife Anita of Mtn. View; his fiance, Mary Taylor of Purlear; three step-daughters, Lisa Wyatt and husband Darrell of West Jefferson, Carol Shumate and husband Russell of Millers Creek, Tina Holt and husband Tommy of Thurmond ; two step-sons,Felix Kyle and wife Willa of Morganton, Teddy Taylor and wife Melissa of Wilkesboro; two grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be 2:00 o'clock Thursday at Davis Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Hadley Triplett officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.      Myrtle Louise Wolfe Myrtle Louise Wolfe Sides, age 75, of Hwy 268, Lenoir, died Monday, March 7, 2011 at Select Specialty Hospital. She was born October 19, 1935 in Wilkes County to the late Robert Franklin and Flossie Maie Marley Wolfe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Wolfe and Hildred Jerry Wolfe; one sister, Mildred Joyce Wolfe; and two half-brothers, Clyde Marley and Cecil Marley. Ms. Sides was retired from the furniture industry and attended Crestview Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons, Mitchell Sides, Paul Sides and Darren Sides and spouse Jackie, all of Lenoir; two daughters, Kathy Thompson and husband Robert of Rutherfordton and Pam Woods and husband Leonard of Lenoir; two brothers, Rex Wolfe and Vilas Wolfe, both of Lenoir; four sisters, Kate Dula of Wilkes County, Grace Stone of Statesville, Hazel Prestwood and Rita Setzer, both of Lenoir; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Crestview Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Michael Isaacs. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens of Lenoir. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
