Betty Carline Roberson Betty Joy, April 29, 1936 - September 12, 2019 (age 83). Betty was a loving wife, mother and grandma; she lived for her family. She was very caring and giving to all those around. Even though your heart is breaking and tears are clouding your eyes, and staining your cheeks, God does give us something worth trusting in tough times; and that is Him, and Him alone. When your heart is breaking, you can place your hope and trust in God. She leaves behind a family that loves her very much, her loving husband of 66 years, Earl Joy; 2 children that will miss her a lot, son, Kenny Joy and wife Kathy Joy, and daughter, Judy Houdyshell and husband Sam; there are 4 grandchildren that will cherish the memories of their “Mama” spoiling them; Kyle Joy and wife Katie Joy, Kevin Joy and wife LeaAnn Joy, Spencer Houdyshell and Sydney Houdyshell. She was blessed to have shared her love with 6 great-grandchildren, Avery Joy, Cooper Denny, Addisyn Joy, Fynlea Joy, Harper Joy, and Cru Barton. “Mama” was devoted to sharing her love and life with all of her family. The grandchildren and great-grandchildren stole her heart. There was always a part of her heart that was with those who preceded her in death; her precious angel, Karen Joy whom “Mama” dedicated her life to ensure that Karen had the best life possible. She is also preceded in death by 2 granddaughters, Kristin Joy and Kalee. They are surely showing “Mama” all around Heaven today.6 She was born on April 29, 1936 at Hardeman Co., Texas.3,6 As of circa 1960,her married name was Joy.6 She married Earl Joy circa 1960.6 Betty Carline Roberson died on September 12, 2019 at Georgia at age 83.6
