     Robert Garnet "Bob" Shelley Jr. Robert "Bob" Shelley Jr., 54, of Burkburnett died Thursday, Feb 26, 1998, in a Wichita Falls hospital. Memorial services will be in Burkbennett Cemetery. Mr. Shelley was born April 14, 1942, in Monterey, Calif. He and Laurel Smith were married Dec. 14, 1970. He was a chiel technician for TCI Cablevision in Burkburnett, retiring in 1996. He was an Army veteran, serving three tours in Vietnam. He had live in Burkburnett since 1980.      Ellen Cannam Crawford Ellen Crawford Morgan, 72, the wife of Dr. Stephen A. Morgan, passed away peacefully at their home in Roanoke, VA, early morning on Monday, June 10, 2024. She was born in Roanoke on June 1, 1952, to Dr. Robert C. Crawford and Dorothy Stitely Crawford. Her maternal grandparents were Marshall and Belva Luellen Stitley of Thurmont, MD, and her paternal grandparents were Nate and Zella Maude Crawford of Baltimore, MD. She attended Crystal Spring Elementary School and Patrick Henry High School and received her LPN from Roanoke Memorial's Nursing School and was for many years a nurse at Roanoke Memorial Hospital's Respiratory Intensive Care Unit and Medical ICU. She finished her career at Carilion Family Medicine on Colonial Avenue. In all, she worked as a nurse for 35 years. Effervescent, lively, and funny, she was a delight to her family and friends, devoted to her husband, and loved cats, but would tolerate well-behaved dogs. She grew up loving Pawley's Island, vacationing there annually with family, and later in life much enjoyed traveling farther afield to Europe and across the western United States. More recently, she and Dr. Morgan spent time at the Morgan family cottage in Fort Valley, VA. She was active with the Medical Society of Virginia Alliance for which she served a term as president and the Roanoke Women's Foundation. She is survived by her husband, who is a senior vice president and Chief Medical Information Officer for Carilion Clinic. Other survivors include older brother, Robert Clifford Crawford Jr. (Carol) of Mount Pleasant, SC; two sisters, Dorothy Catherine "Bay" Stokes (Billy) of Knoxville, TN, and Susan Stitely Crawford Evanosky of Rockville, MD; a daughter, Laura Bussey Hartman (Charles) of Roanoke; and a stepdaughter, Sara Morgan Hampton (Chad) of Salem, VA.⁴ She was born on June 1, 1952 at Roanoke, Virginia.^1,2,4,3 As of July 1, 1977,her married name was Shilling.¹ She married Danny Wayne Shilling, son of Carl James Shilling and Bessie Mae Mills, on July 1, 1977 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.¹ Ellen Cannam Crawford and Danny Wayne Shilling were divorced on November 14, 1989 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.² Ellen Cannam Crawford died on June 10, 2024 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 72.⁴

     Ruth Evangeline Ferguson was buried at Sherwood Burial Park, 1045 Lynchburg Turnpike, Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.^3,2 She was born on December 19, 1912 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.^1,3 As of May 20, 1933,her married name was Terry.¹ She married Murphy Alton Terry, son of Charles Henry Terry and Laura Lee Shively, on May 20, 1933 at Roanoke, Virginia.^1,2 Ruth Evangeline Ferguson died on September 2, 2003 at Virginia at age 90.^3,2 She GOAD, Ruth F. Terry, 90, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, September 2, 2003. Ruth was a faithful member of Shenandoah Baptist Church and was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse from Shenandoah Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. John B. and Martha Bowman Ferguson; her brothers, Roland, Dwight, Bowman and Sheldon Ferguson; her sister, Gale Callison Wright; both husbands, Murphy A. Terry and Fred L. Goad; and her son, David A. Terry. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Norman (Pete) and Phyllis Terry, of Roanoke; her grandchildren, Jonathan N. Terry and wife, Kelly, of Abingdon, Dr. J. Bradley Terry and wife, Cathy, of Pulaski, Kirk A. Terry, D. Scott Terry, both of Roanoke and Jesse S. Terry; eight great-grandchildren; numerous loving and caring nieces and nephews, including Kay, Tappy and Gary. A funeral service will be held at Oakey's South Chapel on Friday, September 5, 2003 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Robert (Bob) Alderman officiating. Interment in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Oakey's South Chapel. on September 5, 2003.²
