She is survived by sons, Everett Roland Ponton "Chaney" (Barbara) of Spout Spring, and Paron Glenn Ponton "PG" (Jeannie) of Arrington; sisters, Joyce Kirby of NC, and Patsy White of FL; grandchildren, Christopher Lee Coles, Ashley Lynn Coles, Thomas Bradley Garbee-Coles, Mary Elizabeth LaFrancis, Melondy Marshell, Luke Ponton, and Alissa Ponton, and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Withers "Buck" Ponton, her son Leslie Julian "Les" Ponton, her sister, Shirley Ann Queja, and her brother, Julian Ernest Johnson. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Lisa Jeffers and husband John of Waynesboro, her son Anthony Blake Wooten, and her daughter Lauren Adams and husband Kevin, one brother James Leonard Johnson of Lynchburg, and numerous nieces, nephews, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws. Barbara worked for 20 years as a paralegal for Kilgore Attorney At Law. She was a lifelong member at Jonesboro Baptist Church. She also enjoyed baking homemade yeast rolls and baking and decorating cakes for birthdays and special occasions. Barbara was a huge UVA Basketball and Football fan and enjoyed watching the games on TV or listening to them on the radio. A Funeral Service will be conducted at at Jonesboro Baptist Church in Roseland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Gertrude Martin and Eliza Martin; and two brothers, Samuel White and John White.A graveside service will be held in Jonesboro Cemetery. on November 24, 2015.³
