Johnson of Buford, Ga; brother and sister-in-law, Marshall M. and Betty Doster of Brooks, Ga; brother-in-law Sidney J. Coleman of Atlanta, Ga; sister-in-law Patricia J. Doster of Brooks, Ga; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sylvia and the Rev. Durward F. Williams of Ellenwood, Ga., and Betty and Col. Bobby G. Jackson of Marietta, Ga; 19 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; and a longtime companion, Girson Rudolph. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Patrick Steven Murphy and Jesse Randolph Coleman. She was also preceded in death by her eldest son, Patrick Steven Murphy Jr; two sisters, Bobbie Jean Coleman and Mary Sue Doster; and a brother, Thomas Basil Doster. on January 4, 2004.¹

     William Myland Smedley Sr. William M. Smedley, 77, went to be with the Lord, Thursday afternoon, December 22, 2011. He was born in Springfield on May 30, 1934 the son of Joseph and Dorothy (Goings) Smedley. Bill worked as a supervisor for Van Dyne Crotty for 25 years. He was strongly involved with the National Guard, softball, and as a deacon at Central Christian Church. He loved watching and attending sports activities with his children and grandchildren. Bill leaves behind his wife, Jonnie (Campbell) Smedley; children, Jackie Venrick of Springfield, Tonya Fent (Mike Riley) of Marysville, and William (Linda) Smedley Jr. of Florida; step-children, Marva (Ted) Screws of Georgia, Julia (Jim) Valentine of Springfield, Connie Wethington of Dayton, and Kelly (Joe) Ruckman of Springfield; thirteen grandchildren; and seventeen great grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Jerry (Sue) Smedley of Springfield; sister, Judy (Roy) Malin of Springfield; sister-in-law, Norma Jean Hanson; his former spouse, Nadean Frock; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Joey; a brother, Jack; and a sister, Patty Sauvageot. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Springfield Regional Medical Center for their care and compassion.      Jonnie Ruth Campbell Jonnie Ruth Smedley, 87, passed away Saturday, April 3rd, 2021. She was born in Liberty, Kentucky, to the late George and Julia (Brown) Campbell. Jonnie was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother. Later in life she went back to school and became a realtor for Century 21 while living in Toledo. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, and walking at the CJ Brown Dam and Reservoir. She will be greatly missed by her children, Marva (Ted) Screws, Julia Valentine, Constance Wethington, and Kelly Ruckman; her grandchildren, Andrew, Kyle, and Joseph (Jessica) Screws, Kira Ruckman, Chelsea (Taylor) Heilbronner, and Kelly Jo (Shawn) Hampton; her great-grandchildren, Destiny Marshall, Emily, Jacob, Jamie, and Jon Screws, Chloe, Cale, and Callie Hampton, and Hudson and Milo Heilbronner; her first husband and father of her children, Marvin Wethington; and her sister, Norma Hansen. In addition to her parents, Jonnie was preceded in death by her brothers, George Jr., and Wayne Campbell; her sister, Freda Berman; her second husband, William Smedley; her sons-in-law, Joseph Ruckman and James Valentine; her grandsons Wesley Ruckman and Jason Marshall and her many beloved pets.³ She was born on July 15, 1933 at Liberty, Case Co., Kentucky.^3,2 As of March 28, 1981,her married name was Smedley.⁴ She married William Myland Smedley Sr., son of Joesph Julius "Joe" Smedley and Dorothy Adalou Goings, on March 28, 1981 at Montgomery Co., Ohio.^1,3 Jonnie Ruth Campbell died on April 3, 2021 at Ohio at age 87.³
