     Houston Ray "Hoot" Sowers Sr. was buried at Sunset Cemetery, North Franklin Street, Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.² His Social Security Number was 227-36-3856.⁵ He was born on September 1, 1929 at Floyd Co., Virginia.^5,4 He married Edna Marie Epperly, daughter of Alonzo Conner "Lonzo" Epperly and Myrtle Ellen Poff, on November 16, 1948 at York, York Co., South Carolina.⁶ Houston Ray "Hoot" Sowers Sr. and Edna Marie Epperly were divorced on June 4, 1958 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.⁶ Houston Ray "Hoot" Sowers Sr. died on February 3, 2001 at Montgomery Co., Virginia, at age 71.^2,5,7 He SOWERS, Houston R. Sr., 71, of Christiansburg, died Saturday, February 3, 2001. He was a retired employee of the Radford Army Ammunition Plant and was currently employed by the Montgomery County Public Facilities. An active member of the Isaac Walton League and a lifetime member of the Montgomery County Moose Lodge # 1470. he is survived by his wife, Rheba D. Sowers; daughter and sons-in-law, Doris, Wright, Darlene and Billy Taylor both of Christiansburg, Nancy and Doug Robertson, Arizona; sons and daughters-in-law, Houston R., Jr. and Shana Sowers, Christiansburg, Steve and Wanda Sowers, Newport News; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean and Paul Curtis, Dolly and Edward Epperly, Christine and George Olsen all of Christiansburg; a brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Diane Sumner, California; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; six nephews; and two nieces. Funeral services will beat the graveside in Sunset Cemetery. on February 5, 2001.²

     Louis James Poff was born on September 29, 1967 at Radford, Virginia.^1,2 He died on October 31, 2014 at Virginia at age 47.¹ He On September 29, 1967, Louis James Poff was given as a gift to his parents, Sharon and J.C. Poff. On that day he began his journey of sharing joy to all who knew him. Although his journey ended at 4:20 a.m. on October 31, 2014, the joy he brought remains. He bravely and quietly endured the pain and many difficulties of psoriatic arthritis, and died from complications of pneumonia. His mother, Sharon Poff; and father, J.C. Poff; brother, Jason Poff; and sister, Amy Poff Cromer; are left with broken hearts, and cherished memories. His extended family, sister-in-law, Crystal Poff; brother-in-law, Tony Cromer; nephew, Tyler Johnson; and nieces, Chloe Poff, Callie Cromer, and Josie Cromer; were blessed to know him, privileged to love him, and are saddened to lose him. Because of his decision to follow Christ, his family knows that he is enjoying being in the presence of his Savior, beloved grandparents, and many other loved ones and friends who went before him. The Poff family looks forward to seeing friends and family on Tuesday, November 4, 2014, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg. At 7:06 p.m. all are invited to attend a service in the chapel to celebrate and honor his life.      Nancy Lou Price was buried at Craighead Cemetery, Bottom Creek, Roanoke Co., Virginia.² Her Social Security Number was 227-46-7380.⁴ She was born on March 14, 1938 at Roanoke, Virginia.^4,3 As of May 29, 1957,her married name was Craighead.³ She married Dennis Lee "Denny" Craighead, son of George Dennis Craighead and Odessa Mae Lilly, on May 29, 1957 at Roanoke, Virginia.³ Nancy Lou Price died on September 18, 1990 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia, at age 52.^2,5 She Nancy Price Craighead, age 52, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, September 18, 1990. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Park and Vivian Price. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Craighead; two sons, Randall and Gary Craighead; daughter in law, Donna Craighead; aunts, Florence Shanks, Virginia Young, and Violet Laughon; one uncle, Lawrence Price; stepmother, Hilda Price; also surviving are a number of cousins and a very good friend, Yvonne Porterfield. Funeral service will be at the graveside in Craighead Family Cemetery in Bottom Creek 2:00 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Jeff Gardner officiating.
