Oliver of Highland, Md; a granddaughter, Lori Jane Kettlewell at home. Members of the family will receive friends at the Heslop Funeral Home, Martins Ferry, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, and Thursday until 1 p.m. when the Rev. William Webster will conduct services. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry. on April 5, 1988.1

He is survived by his widow, the former Jean Haven, two children, Gloria Jean, aged 4, and Richard Lee, 23 months old. His father, Byron Cole, and the following brother and sisters also survive: Mrs. Evone Cochrane and Mrs. Dolly Bronson, both of Cleveland, and Dalven Cole of Surveyor. The deceased was a son of Byron Cole and the late Amanda Wilson Cole, and was born in Surveyor July 5, 1922. He was a member of the Baptist Church. on March 28, 1950.5

Mrs. Boyer was a former member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in West Chester, where she was a Girl Scout and Church Circle leader and taught Sunday school. She was also a former member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary in West Chester and was a lifetime member of the Eagles Lodge in Clearfield, Pa. She is survived by children Carl, Constance Smith and Janet Carson; a brother; a sister; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date. on April 7, 1998.4

Leaving his wife Alice with whom he had been married to for 61 years. Carl was born in Clearfield PA the son of Carl W. Cochrane and Evone Cole Cochrane. He was predeceased by his parents, his daughter Crystal Cochrane, and his sisters Constance J. Smith, and Janet M. Carson. He was a graduate of Henderson High School in West Chester. He retired from UPS after 30 years, working his way up from a driver to management. After his retirement he spent many years volunteering for Toys for Tots, Habitat for Humanity, Good Works, and the Kennett Library Literacy program. He was happiest when all the family was together. He was very proud of his Children, Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. In addition to spending time with family he enjoyed Woodworking, Jewelry making, creating stain glass pieces and painting with water color. In addition to his wife Alice, he is survived by three children Cathy Heilig(Chris), Dawn Singley(Chip), Carl R. Cochrane Jr. He was the proud grandfather of Vanessa Heilig, Lauren Reber(Matt), Jason Heilig, Dylan Singley, Nikki Singley, Julia Cochrane, Emma Cochrane, Lily Cochrane, Wayne Cochrane, Laura Cochrane, and 4 great grandchildren. Services and Interment will be private.2 He was born on September 13, 1939 at Clearfield, Clearfield Co., Pennsylvania.4,2 He married Alice Unknown circa 1959.2 Carl Richard Cochrane Sr. died on April 18, 2020 at West Chester, Chester Co., Pennsylvania, at age 80.2

Mrs. Cole had worked at the former Airplane/Marine in Hyde, the former Ames Department Store, Clearfield Hospital, had been a private duty caregiver, and was retired from Grice’s Gun Shop in Clearfield. She was affiliated with the Church of Christ Faith. On February 6, 1950 in Croft, she wed Delvin L. Cole who survives along with 2 daughters Susan A. Carfley Yacabucci and husband Joe and Deborah S. Bunnell and husband Ronald both of Clearfield, 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Also surviving are 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Robert Smeal and wife Ann of Croft, William Smeal and wife Mary and Thomas Smeal and wife Linda both of Clearfield, Donna Bell of LeContes Mills, Mary Graham and Marian Graham and husband Maynard both of Egypt and Shirley Lippert of New York. She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson Steven A. Carfley, a great granddaughter Paige Carfley and 2 sisters Esther Ireland and Catherine Miller.
