A graveside service will be held Sunday, September 26 at 2 p.m., at the Haymakertown Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Hutchins officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Rader Funeral Home, Troutville.      Douglass Alden Ames married Judith Richards, daughter of William Walter Richards and Willie Lorine Gordon.¹ Douglass Alden Ames was born on February 25, 1941 at Akron, Summit Co., Ohio.¹ He died on September 11, 2006 at Florida at age 65.¹ He Ames, Douglass Alden, 65 of Tamarac, FL passed away September 11, 2006. Born February 25, 1941 in Akron, OH to the late Myron and Ruth Ames. He is survived by sons, Mark Craddock of Pompano Beach and Andrew F.E. Ames of Sunrise; daughters, Connie Ione Ames of Sunrise, April Ames of Deerfield Beach and Kimberly (Brian) Van Doren of Houston, TX; grandchildren Danielle and Rachel Hillerich of Sunrise and Deshawn Maati of Deerfield Beach; his former wife, Karen Mott of Boca Raton and Judith Richards of Sunrise and many relatives and friends too numerous to mention. Richards, 80, of Roanoke, died Monday, September 17, 2007. She was born in Plymouth, England in 1927 and was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson (Pat) Richards. Norma is survived by a sister, June White, of Nottingham, England; three daughters and their husbands, Donna and Dale Janik, Beverley and Eddie Purves and Carol and Jimmy Molter; her grandchildren, Jennifer Purves, Jeffrey Purves, Julie Petersen, Megan Renfroe, Kristin Reynolds and Melissa Jenkins and five great-grandchildren, Damond, Maleique, Avrie, Ashton and Lyndsey.
