(formerly Lake Villa, IL.) passed away Saturday, July 9th, 2016 at his home in Bunnell, FL. surrounded by his family. Jack was born and raised in Chicago where he met his beautiful wife Clara of 51 years, after marrying they moved to Lake County, IL and together they raised three children, Sherry, Sandy and Mike. Jack was a devoted husband, loving father and a wonderful friend to all who knew him. Jack truly loved life and had many hobbies, from throwing horseshoes and darts to snowmobiling and boating but his all-time favorite was fishing. Jack loved to fish! He was famous for his fish fry's and had as much fun cooking them up for his family and friends as he did catching them. He was an avid woodworker too and after an early retirement from US Steel, Jack turned his talent of working with wood into Vance Woodcrafts. He created beautiful wood crafts to exhibit in craft shows, his favorite being his "No Scratch" Cutting Boards. After retiring from Vance Woodcrafts, Jack moved to Florida in early 2014 to enjoy the sunshine, fish every day and bike. He was blessed to enjoy this with his beloved friend Agnus Rhue until losing his battle to cancer. Jack will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His everyday love of life is something we will always remember and keep with us. Jack is survived by his three children: Cheryl (John) Brysiewicz, Sandra (Gerald) Bandman; Mike (Kelly) Vance. His grandchildren: Amy Marquardt, Craig Brysiewicz, Brett Geraci, Tamara Owsley, Kristal and Jennifer Vance. His great grandchildren: Ashley and Laura Marquardt.
