Alma Marie "Kelly" Kellberg Alma Marie Fenter, age 68, also known to her friends and loved ones as “Kelly” passed away quietly after a courageous battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) on April 7, 2008 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Kelly was born to the late Theodore and Vera Kellberg on July 20th, 1939 in Deary, Idaho and raised and schooled in Spokane, Washington. She married Ray Fenter on May 12th, 1956, and spent most of their life together in Colorado. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in Lake Havasu City, Arizona with family and friends in 2006 where they retired eight years ago. Kelly had a very successful life and career. She worked in various capacities as a flight attendant for Ports-of-Call Airlines, and retired from State Farm Insurance. She was very instrumental in building and managing the family's auction business. Kelly loved to travel. Often she would accompany Ray on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle trips. She also was a member of the Marine Corps League Auxiliary in Lake Havasu City. Before her illness, she was an avid golfer and a passionate antique collector. She is survived by her husband, Ray C. Fenter and her children Alan R. Fenter and wife Patricia of Cedar Creek, Texas, and Shannon M. Schur and husband Rich of Monument, Colorado, and two grandchildren, Sean Robbins of Denver, Colorado and Virginia Fenter of Denton, Texas. Kelly has five sisters; Betty Snyder, Theda Reopelle, Janet Kellberg, Joyce Kellberg all from Spokane, Washington, and Kay Dickerson of Fresno, California. "Ray" Fenter and Alma Marie "Kelly" Kellberg were divorced on August 27, 1976 at Jefferson Co., Colorado.4 Raymond C. "Ray" Fenter died on September 7, 2023 at Lake Havasu City, Mohave Co., Arizona, at age 87.3 He Raymond C. Fenter, 87, departed peacefully from this earth Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023 surrounded by family and close friends. Born on March 14, 1936 in La Junta, Colorado, he was a resident of Lake Havasu City for over 23 years. Ray was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, the Elks, and the Marine Corps League. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps in active and reserve duty from 1953-1961. He then became a successful businessman, having a career in the automobile business, and later became a world-class Auctioneer after graduating from the Western College Auction School in 1983. He founded Ray Fenter & Assoc. Auction Company in Denver, Colorado in 1984 and lead the company until he retired. He loved riding his Harley motorcycles with friends and served the Calvary Baptist Church as part of the security team. He was also a proud member of the Marine Corps League Color Guard, Lake Havasu Detachment. He will be remembered for his keen sense of humor and truly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Alma M. Fenter (Kelly). He is survived by his son, Alan R. Fenter (wife Cary) of Streetman, Texas, daughter Shannon M. Schur (husband Rich) of Monument, Colorado, two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Ray's final resting place will be alongside his beloved wife at Fort Logan Cemetery in Denver. on September 10, 2023.3
