In civilian life, he would go on to a career as a professional airplane mechanic, retiring from Atlantic Aviation after 38 years of service. A devoted family man, Mr. Pritt will be long remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. In his leisure hours, he greatly enjoyed fishing, bowling, and NASCAR racing. He is survived by his beloved wife, Clara Marie Combs Pritt; children, Teresa Snedeker (Ted) of Harrington, DE; Garry Pritt (Claudette) of Pennsville, NJ; Donald Pritt (Vickie) of Wilmington, DE; Kevin Pritt (Andria) of New Castle, DE; and Kenneth Pritt (Tammy) of New Castle, DE; brother, Willard Pritt (Marian) of Port Charlotte, FL; sister-in-law, Myrtle Simpers (Allen); brothers-in-law, Frankie Combs and Franklin Combs; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. Friends may call 6 pm to 8 pm on Friday, September 25, 2009, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, September 26, 2009, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Pritt may be made to the American Cancer Society, 92 Read's Way, Ste. 205, New Castle, DE 19720; or to Delaware Hospice, 3515 Silverside Road, Wilmington, DE 19810. on September 23, 2009.1
