He is survived by his fiance, Sheena Hicks, of Elliston; mother and stepfather, Brenda and Allen Wirt, of Christiansburg; father and stepmother, Warren and Mary Ann Radford, of Radford ; brother, James Radford, of Riner; grandmother, Pauline Radford, of Roanoke; stepbrothers, sisters and their spouses, Mitch and Kristie Jearls, of Roanoke, Eric and Susan Wirt, of Dublin, Kristin and Jon Gunter, and Melissa and Mike Mitcham, all of Christiansburg; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and special friends including Bill and Patricia Schooler also survive. The family will receive friends at The New Hope Church of God, Mud Pike Road, Christiansburg on Thursday, December 18, 2008, from 5 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, December 19, 2008, at The New Hope Church of God with Pastor T. Michael Bond and the Rev. Ed Gallimore officiating. Interment will follow in the Radford Family Cemetery on Fort Lewis Mountain, Roanoke County. After 37 years, Earl will now be walking and dancing in streets of Heaven where there is no pain or suffering. He will be so sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He had an infectious smile that always warmed our hearts and a spirit that taught us all that unconditional love is the greatest gift of all. His memory will remain with us forever. Earl was the beloved son of Ronald N. and Barbara B. Kidd. He is also survived by his stepsister, Elizabeth Ann Roberts, of Van Nuys, Calif; a very special grandmother, Mary Clark and husband, Reginald, of Floyd, Va; mother, Carolyn King Kidd, of Floyd, Va; uncles, Kelly Kidd and wife, Barbara, of Floyd, Va., Lawrence Lee Kidd and wife, Darlene, of Lynchburg, Va., David King and wife, Annette, of Floyd, Va., and Bobby Clark and wife, Vanessa, of Floyd, Va; aunt, Mahala Hailey, of Richmond, Va; and a host of cousins and special friends. A very special thank you for the tender care, prayers and support from Dr. Daniel Bauer, Gentle Shepherd Hospice and special friends, Jim and Cindy Silvey, David Scott and "Auntie" Ann Coble. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2008, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 1, 2008, from 4 to 7 p.m.. and on Thursday, October 2, 2008, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 540-982-2221. on October 2, 2008.1
