Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at The Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors with Pastor David King officiating. Interment will follow at Melwood Cemetery. Funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel, Floyd, conducted by Rev. Whitaker W. Shelton and Rev. Elbert Lee Naff. Burial will be in Restvale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday at the Maberry Funeral Home. on August 20, 1979.6

After moving from Virginia, June was a member of Northgate Baptist Church for 52 years, serving as a Sunday School teacher, WMU leader and devoted member of the Ruth Sunday School Class. Known for her collection of recipes and delicious food, she compiled the first edition of the cookbook, Northgate Cooks for Missions. June was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde F. Scott. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Robin Scott Blackburn (Randal) and True Ray (Richard), granddaughter, Heather, four great grandchildren, two sisters, Virginia Shearon of Richmond, VA and Peggy Greene (Roy) of Greenville, several nieces and nephews and a very dear friend, Betty Jeter. on April 22, 2012.8
