Mr. Mathena, who was employed in the car shops of the railway company, is survived by his widow; the following children; Mrs. Emmett Belcher, Mrs. Harold Six, Mrs. Junior Morris, Basil, Randolph, Willis and Wilfred Mathena, all of Princeton, and Mrs. Harley Bradbury of Corrinne; three brothers; Louis, Sam and George Mathena, all of Princeton; and a sister, Mrs. Minnie Brown of Newport News, Va. on January 8, 1950.5

She returned to Princeton shortly after the death Mr. Bradbury. She was formerly employed by Rockwell International in Princeton, and when her health permitted she enjoyed gardening and cooking. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Harley Bradbury; four siblings, Randolph Mathena, Ella Six, Emma Belcher and Basil Mathena; and one grandson, Scott Chaffins. Survivors include three daughters, Diane Taylor and fiancé Billy Parker of Princeton, Glenna Whitt and husband Dewey of Hanover, Pa., and Jackie Phillips and husband Darrell of Forest, Va; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; three siblings, Jessie Morris of Princeton, Willis Mathena and wife Bonnie of Princeton, and Wilfred Mathena and wife Cuzzie of Bluefield; several special nieces and nephews. On Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012 at 12:00 noon, we will celebrate the life of Annie Bradbury from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor John Branham officiating. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Princeton. Family members will serve as pallbearers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Harold Six; a daughter, Connie Jo Six and a brother, Randolph Mathena. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Emma Mathena Belcher; one son, David Belcher of Princeton; one daughter, Mrs. Buster (Regina) Snead of Princeton; four half-sisters, Mrs. Roy Neely of Princeton, Mrs. Harold Sizemore of Atlanta, Ga., Mrs. Phil Terry of Hurley, Va., and Mrs. Henry Davis of Negley; three half-brothers, Douglas and Everette Pennington of Rockford, III, and Lewis Pennington of Mt. View, Miss; and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene in Princeton with Rev. Brady Riffe and Rev. Cecil Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. on June 21, 1970.5

Born in Williamson, he was the son of the late George and Atha Umberger Six. He was a retired textile operator for the Celanese Corp., with 31 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. A member of the First Church of God on Mahood Ave., he was active in many phases of church work. He had served as superintendent of Sunday School and was a Sunday School teacher for several years. He had served on the official board of the church as well as the board of trustees and the board of finance. He had currently held the office of assistant superintendent of Sunday Schools and was serving as head usher of the church. In 1980, he was named father of the year by the church congregation. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ella Mathena Six; one son, Kenneth Harold Six of Princeton; two daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Patty) Ball of Princeton and Miss Janice Six of the home; one brother, Franklin Six of Roanoke, Va; one grandson, Kevin Lee. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at Burns Wornal Chapel of Memorial Funeral Directory. Princeton, with Rev. Clarence Dillon and Rev. Gene Harman officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens on the Bluefield-Princeton Road. Pallbearers will be Harold Catron, Buddy Poff, Clyde Meadows, Cletis Fink, Fred Jarrell and Donald Blevins. Friends and neighbors will serve as flowerbearers. on February 20, 1981.6

Born April 3,1923, at Princeton, he was the son of the late Cline D. and Rose Pettry Bradbury. He was a retired coal miner, having worked for more than 20 years for the Semet-Solvay Coal Co. at Tralie. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America. Mr. Bradbury had been a resident of Vero Beach for the past 11 years. While living in Princeton, he was a membner of the First Church of God on Mahood Avenue in Princeton. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Buford and Edward Bradbury. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Anna B. Bradbury of Vero Beach; three daughters, Diane Taylor of Columbia, Tenn., Glenna Whitt and her husband, Dewey, of Glenwood, Md., and Jackie Phillips and her husband, Darrell, of Princeton; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The body has been cremated and there will be no services at this time. on June 14, 1998.3
