Tiffany Post 53, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Henry Mosher Post 638, American Legion and the Ellington Volunteer Fire Department. Charles enjoyed his grandchildren, NASCAR racing, his motorcycle, computers, hunting, golfing and his dog, Brandi. He is survived by his wife, Kathy A. Huling Himes, whom he married April 4, 1970, in Ashville; four children: James (Kelly) Himes of Ellington, Tina (Todd) Barden of Falconer, Veronica (Richard) Johnston of Ellington, and Charcy (Carl) Carte of Sinclairville; 16 grandchildren; Kaylie and Tyler Himes, Lance Corporal Bryen Barden, Kaitlynn Barden, Dalton Whitacre, Richard, Ashley, James and Brittany Johnston, Brianna Skuggen, Daryn Himes, Gage, Carl, Aryan Carte, Andrea Himes and Emily Bendics; two sisters: Linda Kum of Falconer, and Beverly Wilkins of Ft. Myers, Fla. He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis V. Himes, who died on May 22, 1989; his mother. Anna May Swanson Himes, who died April 11, 1970; a brother, Edward Himes who died in 1947; and a half-brother, Ronald Swanson, who died on September 5, 1990.2 He was buried at Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg, Chautauqua Co., New York.3 He was born on March 18, 1949 at Jamestown, Chautauqua Co., New York.5,4,2,3 He married Kathleen A. He served as a corporal in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954. He served with the Washington Township Sewer Authority for six years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marian Hulings, in 1996; and a brother, John F. Hulings, in 1995. Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Hall and her husband, Rick, of Edinboro; three sons, Brad Hulings of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Brian Hulings and his wife, Janice, and Brent Hulings, all of Edinboro; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie St., Edinboro. A service will be held there Tuesday at 11 a.m., officiated by the Rev. James Patterson. Burial will be at McLane Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Children's Miracle Network in care of Saint Vincent Health Center, 232 W. 25th St., Erie, PA 16544. on December 1, 2001.2

"Al" "Albines" Whisner circa 1882.7,4,8 Mary Etta "Ettie" Reed died on April 15, 1927 at Clarion, Clarion Co., Pennsylvania, at age 71.3,4 She Mrs. Mary Etta Reed Whisner, wife of the late Mr. Al B. Whisner, a most highly esteemed christian lady, died at her home on East Main Street, Clarion, Friday, April 15, 1927, at 4:30 P.M., her death being due to indigestion with complications, and came with shocking suddenness. Mrs. Whisner was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Reed, and was born in Highland township, January 1, 1856. She was united in marriage with Al B. Whisner, who preceded her in death several years ago. She is survived by the following children; Mrs M. R. Black, Miola; Merle, Clarence, Archie L., and Edward Whisner all of Clarion, and James Whisner, of Rockway, N.J. Mrs. Whisner was the last of a family of fourteen children. The deceased was a splended christian woman and was revered and respected bv all who knew her for her fine christian character. She was a member of the Methodist Church at Miola for many years and to her removal to Clarion several years ago when her membership was transferred to the First Methodist Church of this place. Her funeral took place last Monday afternoon when a short service was held in Shiloh Church at Miola being conducted by the Rev. C. H. Deems, of Shippenville. The service was attended by a very large assembly of old friends and neighbors. The interment was made in the Mt. Carmel cemetery. on April 21, 1927.4
