He served in the United States Navy for 20 years and served on the Valdez as a code breaker. Survivors include two daughters, Vicky Weaver of Big Spring and Tina Hanson of South Dakota; a step-son, Michael Gerhart of Lubbock; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one niece and one nephew. She was born June 26, 1927 in Sumner, Illinois to Frank W. and Coza Lela (Peters) Reed. Laura married Louis Vearl Davidson in St. Louis, Missouri on December 24, 1941; he died January 10, 1997. She was a homemaker and also retired from Pizza Hut in Wabash, after 17 years. Laura was a member of the Christian Heritage Church, and enjoyed reading and traveling. She lived in Wabash County since 1941. She is survived by five children, Larry Davidson of Statesville, North Carolina, James (Lee) Davidson of Roann, Indiana, Robert Davidson of Las Vegas, Nevada, Donald (Jill) Davidson of North Manchester, Indiana, and Frances Cosley of Wabash, 14 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, brother, Frank W. Reed, and special friend, La Donna Ulshafer, both of Wabash. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and son, Charles Davidson.
