Medical Center, Perry Point, MD, as Supervisor Housekeeping Service, and retired in 1981 after 15 years. She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Perryville, MD. Survivors include her son, Walter James Owens, Jr. and wife, Denise, Perryville, MD; daughter, Cynthia May Bannon and husband, Gene, Conowingo, MD; grandchildren, Timothy Alan Adams, Dawn Lynn Buyington, Joshua James Owens, Danielle Nicole Owens, Angela Sinopoli, and Joshua Collins; great-grandchildren, Dominic Thomas Adams, Timothy James Adams, Lucie Marie Owens, and Susie Ann Owens. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Owens was preceded in death by her husband, Walter James Owens, Sr., who died on December 4, 2006; step-father, Alfred DiGiovanni; brother, David Bungori; and sister, Helen Zimmerman. Interment will be in Principio Cemetery, Perryville, MD. on March 28, 2007.2

Shank, daughter of Ralph David Shank and Hazel Augusta Jewell.1,2 George Earl Elkins was born on March 12, 1917 at East Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania.1 He died on September 1, 2005 at Martinsburg, Berkeley Co., West Virginia, at age 88.1 He George Earl Elkins, 88, of Hagerstown, died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2005, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va. Born March 12, 1917, in East Pittsburgh, Pa., he was the son of the late Harry Edward and Anna Kerns Elkins. He was raised at United Brethren in Christ Orphanage and Home in Quincy, Pa. He was preceded in death by two wives, Virginia Shank Elkins and Elizabeth Butts Elkins. He was an aircraft worker at Fairchild in Hagerstown for more than 22 years. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren in Hagerstown. He was a member of AMVETS Post 10 of Hagerstown. He is survived by one daughter, Joyce Noland of Hagerstown; one stepdaughter, Betty Pemberton of Virginia; one stepson, Donald Craighead of West Virginia; his companion, Gloria Cloud; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one stepdaughter, Shirley Turner-Kellbaugh; two stepsons, George Craighead and Thomas Craighead; one sister, Myrtle Wehmer; and one brother, Harry Elkins Jr. Military honors and burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. on September 5, 2005.1

     Ralph Angel Berrios Jr. was buried at Calvary Cemetery, 555 North Ridge Road, Lorain, Lorain Co., Ohio.4,3 He was born on November 23, 1963.4 He married Tina Louise Showalter, daughter of Kirt Mahoney Showalter and Thelma Jean "Lulu" Pemberton, on October 2, 1999 at Lorain Co., Ohio.1,3 Ralph Angel Berrios Jr. died on June 3, 2018 at Elyria, Lorain Co., Ohio, at age 54.4,3 He Ralph Angel Berrios Jr., 54, of Elyria, went home to be with the lord on June 3rd, 2018 surrounded by his family at home. Ralph fought the battle of cancer for a year, wanting to see his son, Evan, graduate from high school. Being the strong father he was, Ralph accomplished that goal as Evan crossed the stage and received his diploma from Clearview High School on May 30th, 2018. Ralph worked for Lorain County Job Department of Job and Family Services, served as a foster parent with LCCS for seven years. He was a volunteer board member of Lorain Neighborhood Alliance, volunteer for Lorain County Community Action Agency and Head Start programs, as well as a volunteer at the Lorain Boys and Girls Club. Ralph lettered in four years of baseball and three years of basketball at Southview High School. He served as assistant basketball coach to Hall of Fame Coach Larry Stark until receiving his own coaching position at Lorain County Community College. Along with that, he also was an assistant basketball coach at Brookside High School, assistant baseball coach at Southview High School, and head baseball coach of Ohio Giants Baseball, in which he coached his son, Evan. On top of all of that, Ralph was a baseball umpire for over twenty years. Ralph was inducted into the Lorain County Coaches Hall of Fame in 2018 and was inducted into the Lorain County Hall of Fame, twice as a member of both Lorain Hungarian and Lorain Franks men's fast pitch teams. Other achievements include receiving a proclamation from Mayor Chase Ritenauer in 2017 and Ralph served as Vice President for Union 2192. Ralph leaves behind his wife of eighteen years, Tina Showalter-Berrios of Elyria; his son, Evan; and daughter, Nevaeh at home; along with sons, Tyler (Madison) Natal of Tampa, Florida and Mikey Hernandez of Elyria; grandchildren, Pharoah, Luna, and Kirtis; his loving mother, Elizabeth Cruz of Lorain; brothers, Nandi (Michele) Cruz, Robert (Angie) Cruz, Richie Cruz, Geli Cruz, all of Lorain and Rafael (Nilsa) Berrios of Atlanta, Georgia; sister, Carmen (Drew) Tejada of Elyria; sisters-in-law, Judy (Chris) Dembinski-Arroyo of Parma and Anna Showalter of Lorain; step mother, Emmyne Berrios of Atlanta, Georgia; father-in-law Kirt Showalter of Oak Hill, West Virginia; his Godparents, Harry and Lydia Guerrieri and Angel Sr. and Mary Rodriguez; and Godchildren, Angelo Cruz and Nina Yanick.      Rev. Rodney Jay Warstler Reverend Rodney Jay Warstler was born January 4, 1935 to Clifford Reese Warstler and vera Kennedy Warstler, who predeceased him. He ended this life to begin his life of eternity on March 7, 2022. He issurvived by his wife of sixty five years, Mary Lu Pennock Warstler; four children, Elizabeth (Liz) Flaker and husband, Donald Flaker Jr., Timothy (Tim) Warstler, Martha (Marty) Coleman and husband, Keith Coleman and James (Jim) Warstler and wife, Sandra Mallard Warstler. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Donald Flaker III, Andrew Flaker (Joanne), Nathan Flaker (Megan) and Allison Flaker Shipman (Matt), Samantha Warstler Swan (Michael), Joe Amend, Ric Mallard (Jenn), Melinda Mallard Amezcua (John); ten great grandchildren survive, Luke Flaker, Zach Flaker, Nora Flaker, Lydia Flaker, Tessa Flaker, Jack Swan, Elliette Swan, Isabela Mallard, Liliana Amezcua and Alexandria Mallard; one brother, David Warstler; also survives him along with nieces and nephews. Rodney grew up in Justus where he attended elementary, junior high school and graduated from Fairless High School in 1953. He worked for a time in the Brewster Cheese Company and loved telling stories about those days. He also worked at Republic Steel in Massillon and a short time on the Railroad before answering the call to ministry. He became a graduate of the University of Ashland in 1959 and attended Ashland Seminary for one year before moving on to Naperville, Illinois tp Seminary. With the merger of the United Brethern Church and the Methodist Church Naperville Seminary became part of Garrett Evangelical Seminary. He was graduated from point charge in Illinois. He then moved to magnolia, on to Akron Boulevard, East Conneaut, Green Valley, St. Paul's and Manchester. He retired in 1994. During his service he weas a member (and officer) of the Kenmore Borad of trade, Kenmore Kiwanis, Barberton Board of Salvation Army. His first ten years of retirement, he worked on a home in Guernsey County that he called "The Farm". Then he and Mary Lu moved to Copeland Oaks where he became involved as Assistant Manager for the Thrift Shop. He also enjoyed ringing the bell for the Salvation Army in Sebring and helping in the Outreach Committee to spread God's word in modern ways. Rodney will be missed as husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.3 He was born on January 4, 1935 at Stark Co., Ohio.1,3 He married Rev. Mary Lulu/Lou Pennock, daughter of Theodore Everett Pennock and Mary Elizabeth Coleman, on September 6, 1957 at Massillon, Stark Co., Ohio.4,2,3 Rev.
