Ruby Alice Newhouse Mrs. Ruby Hughart, 29, of Sissonville, died at her home early Wednesday following a long Illness. Surviving are her husband, Denver Hughart; two daughters, Alva Fay and Nadine (Dee Dee), at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Newhouse; two brothers, John and Elmer Newhouse, both of Sissonville; two sisters, Stella Newhouse and Thelma Newhouse, both of Sissonville. The body will be taken to the residence Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Grapevine Chapel. Rev. Stella Eunice Newhouse Stella Eunice Jordan of Charleston, passed away from a short illness on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at CAMC General surrounded by her family. Born August 6, 1920 in Kanawha County, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Bert Newhouse and Molly Elmore Newhouse. Stella was a member of the Spencer Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandson, Bobby Hughart; and son in law, Ira Hughart. Stella is survived by a daughter Darlis Hughart; sister, Thelma Sigmon; four great grandchildren, Kayla, Cody, Jordan, and Jessica; two great great grandchildren, Kristina and Amy; nephews, Randy and Lanny Shafer; friend, Mike Harding; and a host of friends. Funeral Services will be at 1pm on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home with visitation two hours prior to service. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lona Presley Page; two daughters, Brenda Edwards of Fairplain and Evelyn Dadisman and her husband, Larry, of Charleston; two sons, Roger Page and Dana Page and his wife, Patricia, of Dunbar; five grandchildren, Scot Taylor, Michael Edwards, Nancy Ball, Kristie Edwards and Molly Page; four great-grandchildren, Brianna and Morgan Ball and Micahaela and Mikie Edwards. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Doyle Young officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens. Page, they lived on a farm on Frog's Creek, Kanawha County; and then they eventually moved to Dunbar. She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow W. Page; sisters, Lula Cunningham and Leva Jones; and brothers, Leo and Lovell Presley. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Evelyn (Larry) Dadisman of Charleston, Brenda Edwards of Fairplain, Dana (Patricia) Page and Roger Page of Dunbar. She has five grandchildren, Scot (Lori) Taylor, Michael Edwards, Nancy (Rodney) Ball, Kristie Edwards, and Molly Page. Also, she has five great-grandchildren, Michaela and Mikie Edwards and Brianna, Morgan and Madison Ball. Also surviving her are special foster sisters, Genevieve McCollam of South Charleston, and Nancy Ratliff of Columbus, Ohio. She was a Christian and a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Pastor Doyle Young officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 4, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar. The family would like to thank Dr. John Lilly for the many years he served as Lona's physician, to Thomas Memorial Hospital for their kindness and support the past month, and to Hubbard Hospice House the past two days. on October 3, 2010.2
