Carole Jean Fuller was buried at Central Montana Memorial Gardens, Lewistown, Fergus Co., Montana.8,3 She Carole Jean Songer, Nov 9, 1933 - Apr 14, 2022. Carole Jean Songer was born in Renton, Washington to Alvin and Verna Fuller in November of 1933, and went to be with the Lord April 14, 2022. She developed her love of animals, especially horses at an early age, by helping on her Uncle Earl’s dairy farm. Her Gramma Edding helped her get her first horse, whose name was Dicky. Carole worked as a secretary at Boeing until she met the love of her life, Dick Songer, while on vacation at Yellowstone Park. They got married in January of 1958 in Wickenburg, Arizona. Deb was born the following January while the family was living on the Pronghorn Ranch East of Judith Gap and working for Gramma and Grampa, Clarence and Alice Songer. They were living in Lewistown when Cal was born in 1963. Carole enjoyed the ranch life and worked long, hard days helping with the cattle, the cooking and raising her kids. But she wouldn’t have had it any other way, and she enjoyed reminiscing about those years and sharing her memories with kids and grandkids. They moved to California in 1968 where she gave riding lessons and helped Dick run the stables at a country club in Freemont, California. They came back to Montana in 1975 and bought the Empire Café. Dick did horse shoeing and Carole ran the café until she decided to sell it and go into real estate. She eventually started her own real estate firm and had a successful business for many years until she retired. In her retirement years, Carole enjoyed singing at the local nursing homes and at church. She loved the Lord, and enjoyed playing cards and games with family and friends. She loved spending time with Art and her other friends at Council on Aging. She never lost touch with her best friend Bev, and they spent a lot of time together in their retirement years. Carole left a legacy of love, laughter, kindness and generosity. Her kids and grandkids were blessed to be a part of her life and she will never be forgotten. Carole is survived by her children, Debbie (Ken) Willmore and Cal (Anita) Songer; 9 grandchildren, Dusty (Jordan) Deupree, Cody (Mandy) Deupree, Ben (Mandy) White, Ryan (Adam) Tibesar, Raven (Luke) Shevela, Shandy (Ty) Gill, Misti (Jason) Pitts, Roxi (Jay) Harrison, and Hallie (Jason) Olson; and 19 great-grandkids.
