Helen Hart was buried at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Herscher, Kankakee Co., Illinois.2,3 She was born on February 3, 1927 at Bethlehem, Wayne Co., Iowa.4,2 As of October 20, 1946,her married name was Beverlin.1 She married Jack Lee Beverlin, son of Corwin Jefferson Beverlin and Estina Elva Lorimor, on October 20, 1946 at Peru, Madison Co., Iowa.1,3 Helen Hart died on December 17, 2012 at Kankakee, Kankakee Co., Illinois, at age 85.2,3,4 She HERSCHER - Helen Beverlin, 85, Herscher, passed away Monday (Dec. 17, 2012) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital, Kankakee. Her service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Herscher, followed by an interment at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. A time of gathering will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Schreffler Life Story Funeral Homes, Herscher Chapel, and again from 10 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hospice of Kankakee Valley would be appreciated. Helen was born Feb. 3, 1927, in Bethlehem, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Stella Hart. On Oct. 20, 1946, in Peru, Iowa, she married Jack Beverlin. He precedes her in death. Helen was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Herscher, Martha Circle, enjoyed cooking, and most especially loved being a wife, mother and grandmother. Helen is survived by her children, Craig (Joan) Beverlin, Kennewick, Wash; Pam (J.R.) Matern, Herscher; and Patrice (Rick) Parker, Dwight; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a brother and a sister, both of Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, and her parents. on December 20, 2012.3

Kenneth Lynn Grossman was buried at Edgar Cemetery, Edgar, Clay Co., Nebraska.3 He was born on December 22, 1938 at Nuckolls Co., Nebraska.3 He married Marjorie Lobeda on March 29, 1959 at Clay Center, Clay Co., Nebraska.3 Kenneth Lynn Grossman died on August 31, 2017 at Osage Beach, Missouri, at age 78.3 He Kenneth Lynn Grossman, 78, passed away on Thursday 31 August, 2017 at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, Missouri. He was born in Nuckolls County Nebraska on 22 December 1938, the first son of Kenneth and Dorothy (Blevins) Grossman. He was a member of the Church of Christ, Angus, Nebraska being baptized in the Little Blue River near Angus, Nebraska. He graduated from Nelson High School with the Class of ’56 and was married in Zion Lutheran Church in Clay Center, Nebraska on 29 March 1959 to Marjorie Lobeda. They shared their lives together for 58 years and were blessed with two sons, Kenneth L Grossman II (companion, Robin), Dudley Grossman (Laura) and one daughter, Rebecca Parker (Ralph), six grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Ken served in the United States Air Force as an air traffic controller. He was honorably discharged in 1961; then graduated from the Federal Aviation Academy in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma the same year. He retired from the Federal Aviation Administration after 29 years of service. Upon retirement the couple moved to the west side of the Lake of the Ozarks where Ken devoted many hours of community service, being an active member of Kent Memorial Lutheran Church in Sunrise Beach, serving as Council President and on the Property Committee. He was proud to be inducted into the North Highway 5 Bowling Association Hall of Fame. He enjoyed the sport of horseshoe pitching having won first place in his class at World Horseshoe Tournament in Springfield, Illinois. He was a man of honesty and integrity having guided several young boys to the rank of Eagle Scout, including his two sons, during his many years as a Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America. Ken is survived by his wife, Marjorie; twin brother and sister, Leonard (Gail) and LeAnn (Dorrel) Lipker; his 3 children and their families and many nieces and nephews. A visitation was held from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday, 3 September, 2017 at Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, 9 September, 2017 in Edgar City Cemetery, Edgar, Nebraska. on September 8, 2017.3

James O'Neal Ahlman James O'Neal Alhman, age 98 of Orange, Texas passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas. James was born September 24, 1912 to Alfred Augusta Alhman and Myrtle Inez Paxton Alhman. He was a longtime area resident. He was preceded in death by his wife and two brothers. Survivors include his son, Charles Ahlman of Port Arthur, Texas and sister, Eleanor Kelly. Graveside service will be at 3:30pm Thursday September 1, 2011 at Premont Cemetery in Premont, Texas. He was the middle child of three siblings born to Gilliam and Bertha Crider in Waco, Texas. Billy graduated from Denison High School and enlisted in the United States Army Air Force. He served his country in the European Theatre during World War II. On his return home he moved to Corpus Christi to be near his brother Kenneth. He was employed at the Corpus Christi Naval Air Station where he met Patricia Wehrman. They were married on February 19, 1949. Billy was employed by Mobil Oil Corp. and became a distributor of Petroleum Products. He retired in 1980. He was a member of Independence Masonic Lodge No. 1337 and Al Amin Shrine Temple. He is survived by his wife Patricia Crider; daughter, Brenda Robertson and son-in-law, Robby Robertson of Corpus Christi, Texas; brother, Kenneth Crider of Gainesville, Texas and other loving extended family members. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at 2:00p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with entombment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be from the Parkdale Baptist Church Adult S.S. Class No. 5. on March 30, 2005.6
