     Thelma Pauline Mills Thelma Hardy, December 29, 1927 - June 14, 2021. Thelma Pauline Hardy, age 93 of Rocky Mount, joined the heavenly angels on June 14, 2021. She was born in Boones Mill, Va to her late parents, George and Eliza Mills. Thelma was preceded in death by her daughter, Connie Frances Huffman (Larry), grandson, Derrick Wayne Huffman, and her beloved siblings: Doris and Marvin Nichols, Annie and Jim Farris, Page & Buford Webster, Ruth Webster, Zane Nichols. She is survived by daughter Polly Darlene Hicks (Roger) and grandchildren: Sherri Krauss (Eric), Kimberly Stump, and Stacie Hicks, great-grandchildren: Brandon Miller (Cassie), Alex Johnson, Shaleigh Myers, Dakota Krauss, Logan Krauss, Samuel Krauss, Andrea Krauss, Abigail Krauss, and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Also remaining are cherished friend Ricky Stump, siblings Peggy Gibson, Nellie Gibson, Clara Mills, Ed Mills, Jean Woods (Curtis), Brenda Smith, Kenneth Mills, Don Mills, Judy, Richard Webster, numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family. A graveside memorial will take place at Franklin Memorial Park.⁴ She was buried at Franklin Memorial Park, Virgil Goode Highway, Rocky Mount, Franklin Co., Virginia.⁴ She was born on December 29, 1927 at Boones Mill, Franklin Co., Virginia.^3,4 As of April 3, 1950,her married name was Hardy.² She married Charles Conel Hardy on April 3, 1950 at Franklin Co., Virginia.^2,9,7 Thelma Pauline Mills died on June 14, 2021 at Virginia at age 93.⁴

     Doris Irene Mills was buried at Mountain View Memorial Park (also known as Mountain View Burial Park), 5970 Grassy Hill Road, Boones Mill, Franklin Co., Virginia.⁶ She was born on September 12, 1929 at Franklin Co., Virginia.³ As of January 14, 1953,her married name was Nichols.² She married Walter Marvin Nichols on January 14, 1953 at Franklin Co., Virginia.^2,6,9 Doris Irene Mills died on March 24, 2014 at Franklin Co., Virginia, at age 84.^10,6 She Doris M. Nichols, 84, of Rocky Mount, went to be with the Lord Monday, March 24, 2014 to join her loving husband, Marvin Nichols of 51 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Eliza Mills; sister, Ida Nichols and husband Tracie Nichols; brothers-in-law, Charlie Hardy, Buford Webster, Robert Gibson, Joseph Gibson, Robert Trail, James Smith. Surviving are her sisters, Thelma Hardy, Page Webster; one special sister and caregivers, Ruth and Richard Webster, Annie Farris (James), Peggy Gibson, Nellie Gibson, Clara Mills, Jean Wood (Curtis), Judy Trail, Brenda Smith; brothers, Kenneth Mills (Glenna), Curtis Mills, Don Mills; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Mills, Nellie Mills; brother-in-law, Calvin Nichols (Thelma); many nieces; nephews; cousins; and her loving church family. She was a loving sister and faithful member of Rocky Mount First Church of the Brethren. She loved taking care of her flowers and yard. Doris will be missed by all who knew her. Special thanks to Dr. Amos and staff, Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital, Franklin Healthcare Center and Hospice for their care in her last days. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. on March 25, 2014.⁶

He was a retired rural mail carrier from the Callaway Post Office with 25 years of service. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Buford C. and Isla Page Mills Webster; brother, Chester E. Webster; nephew, Tony Furrow; brother-in-law, Bryce Clayton.
Robert is survived by his wife, Lisa Quinn Webster; sisters, Bonnie L. Clayton and Susan Lloyd (Dean); his beloved pet, Zena; niece, Annie Lloyd; nephew, Cary Lloyd; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. Mrs. Webster would like to give special thanks to Raleigh Court Health & Rehabilitation Center for the loving care they gave Robert during his stay. Graveside services will be held at Bethlehem Church of the Brethren Cemetery on Saturday, October 10, 2020, at 2 p.m. on October 8, 2020.³

     Judith "Judy" Stiles Judith C. Brooks, 71, of Federal Heights, passed away December 6, 2014. She was born November 11, 1943 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Woodrow and Ardis (Adamson) Stiles. She was a graduate of Brighton High School. Judith is survived by son, Richard (Lorraine) Brooks; five grandchildren, Jessica (Lars) Ryan, Daniel (Pamela) Brooks, Zachary Brooks, Christina Brooks, Ashley Brooks; three great-grandchildren, Bethanie Brooks, Anthony Brooks, Maddox Ryan; two sisters, Margie Neff, Linda (Bill) Lane; brother, Jim (Paddy) Stiles. She is preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Ardis Stiles, and her son, Mark Brooks.³ Her married name was Brooks.³ She married Duane Brooks.^1,2,3 Judith "Judy" Stiles was born on November 11, 1943 at Denver, Denver Co., Colorado.³ She died on December 6, 2014 at Colorado at age 71.³

     Richard Irving Sandborn was buried at Virginia Veterans Cemetery, 10300 Prideville Rd., Amelia, Amelia Co., Virginia.⁴ He was born on December 17, 1934 at Whittier, Los Angeles Co., California.^3,4 He married Bonnie Adamson, daughter of Vernie Albertis Adamson and Berneice Mildred Kinneson, on July 7, 1962 at Clark Co., Nevada.^1,2,5,4 Richard Irving Sandborn died on June 13, 2020 at Virginia at age 85.⁴ He Richard Irving Sandborn came into this world on December 17, 1934 and left for his home with Jesus on June 13, 2020. Richard will be placed to rest at the Veteran's Cemetery in Amelia, Virginia on September 14, 2020. Dick loved and cared about his family and extended family and friends very much. He shared Jesus with all who would listen and he wanted them all to be in heaven with him one day. People always loved his infectious laugh. He served his country in the Air Force. He especially liked his time spent in Alaska as a jet mechanic. He loved riding and racing his motorcycles and enjoyed his time driving trucks. Dick was born in Whittier California and spent almost half his life there. In Whittier, he met his future wife, Bonnie Adamson of Colorado. He always said they had to import someone from out of state to get him. Dick and his family moved to Carson City Nevada in 1979 where he lived with Bonnie until they relocated to Midlothian Virginia in 2013, where he spent his final years. Dick and Bonnie had 3 children: Bart of Midlothian, Virginia, Bret of Dayton, Nevada and Kristi of Gardnerville, Nevada along with 5 grandchildren: Ilene of Nevada, Steven of Arizona, Alexandra of Texas, David of Virginia and Jason of Nevada and 3 great grandchildren: Donavon, Abigail and Cambria Thayer. Dick is also survived by his sister Joan Barr of California whom he loved very much along with many nieces and nephews, who he also loved very much. on August 6, 2020.⁴

     Fred Wilmer Conrad was buried at Sunset Cemetery, 501 South Franklin Street, Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.¹ His Social Security Number was 226-16-6366.³ He was born on April 30, 1910 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.^3,2 He married Ethel Beatrice Aliff, daughter of William Oscar Aliff and Della A. "Ardella" Rose, on October 23, 1937 at Riner, Montgomery Co., Virginia.^4,2 Fred Wilmer Conrad died on October 21, 1990 at Shawsville, Montgomery Co., Virginia, at age 80.^3,1 He CHRISTIANSBURG - Fred Wilmer Conrad, age 80, of 420 Mount Pleasant Road, died Sunday morning, October 21, 1990, in a Shawsville nursing home. Surviving are his wife, Ethel Beatrice Conrad; a daughter and son-in-law, Carol C. and Dana Underwood, Roanoke; three grandchildren, Ronald Gregory and his wife, Debbie; Kerry Shaun Underwood, and Christy Lynn Underwood. The funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday from the Richardson-Horne Chapel conducted by the Rev. Burrell Baker with burial in Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 Monday evening at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home. on October 22, 1990.¹

She was a prolific gardener and was a member of Hunting Hills Garden Club, Valley Beautiful, Roanoke Council of Garden Clubs and Newcomers Club. Carol loved to do crafts and always stayed busy with her flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Ethel Conrad; and an infant sister. Carol is survived by her husband of 59 years, Dana Underwood; three children, Greg Underwood and his wife, Debbie, Kerry S. Underwood and his wife, Julie Arrington, and Christy Clark and her husband, Chris; nine grandchildren, Taylor Underwood, Shadow Dawson, Henry Underwood, Meadow Underwood, Grady Laas, Hadley Laas, Quincy Laas, Matthew Clark and Will Clark; furry friends, Charlie and Emma; close friends and other extended family. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at Oakey's South Chapel with the Rev. Dale Mullinix officiating. A private graveside service will be held for family only at Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg. on February 22, 2019.⁴
