Michael was a 1969 graduate of Northside High School and had worked in funeral service for over thirty years. One of Michael's greatest moments was meeting country singer, Alan Jackson in 1999. Surviving are his sisters, Linda Simmons, Jody Cronk and Melanie Fisher; brothers, Kenny and Jack Poff; numerous beloved nieces and nephews. At Michael's request his body was cremated and laid to rest in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens next to "Baby Isiah" to whom a grave was given in 1990. on October 30, 2016.3
