Wickline; daughters and sons-in-law, Trudy and Andy Creed, Dreama and Jeff Williamson, Connie and David Breslin, and Cindy Trobaugh; grandchildren, Wendy Pombo, Baye Williamson, Jacob Williamson, Bryce Williamson (Eddie Myers), John Breslin, Patrick Breslin, and Erin Trobaugh (Mike); great-grandchildren, Amelia and Brayden Williamson and Joey and Thea Trobaugh; and a host of special nieces and nephews. Max retired from the Engineering Department at Rowe Furniture after 40 years of service. Since his retirement, he has enjoyed hunting, fishing, bridge, traveling and most of all spending time with his family. He was a charter member of Grandin Court Baptist Church since 1945 and a member of the Sherwood Archery Club since 1972. Interment will follow at Evergreen Burial Park. on November 13, 2022.3

Rites will be held in the Killarney Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Cleve Young and the Rev. Ora Sargant officiating. Burial will be made in Sunset Memorial Park. Born in Floyd County, Va., in March, 1891, he was a son of Jake and Ellen Terry Sigmon. A lifelong resident of East Gulf, he was employed by the C. H. Mead Coal Co., and was a member of UMW Local 6109. Survivors include four sons, Raymond, of Helen; Charley, of Coal City; Ordie, of Killarney; and Henry, stationed in the Army in Germany; two daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Damewood, of Mead, and Mrs. Irene Hodge, Charleston; six brothers, Mowyer, Everett, and Woodrow, all of Kimball; Melvin, Daniel, and Lorton, all of Rocky Mount, Va; three sisters, including Mrs. Girlie Brogan, of Rocky Mount. The body will remain at the Calfee Funeral Home until 4 p.m. Saturday, at which time it will be removed to the residence of his son, Ordie, at Killarney. on October 9, 1953.6

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel in Princeton with Rev. Charles Addington officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. on February 16, 1974.6

He had lived in Princeton since 1959, coming from Athens. He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers. Survivors include his wife, Wanda French Sigmon; a son, Jarrell Raymond Sigmon of Hickory, N.C; a daughter, Mrs. David (Debbie) Nuckolls of Pleasantville, Iowa; two grandsons, Jeffrey Scott Sigmon and Rob R. Sigmon. Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the George W. Seaver Funeral Home Chapel in Princeton with Pastor David Nuckolls and Dr. David Dockery officiating. Burial will be in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens at Princeton. Friends may call today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Deacons of the church along with Tom Biggs, Clarence Bowden, Clyde Pennington, Clarence Taylor, Elwood Blankenship, Joe Moody and Bob Crowder. on March 6, 1991.4

     Ordie Jake "Bud" Sigmon Sr. was buried at Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.3 He was born on February 4, 1919 at Stone, Pike Co., Kentucky.3 He married Eileen Marie Collinsworth on September 2, 1941 at Pineville, Wyoming Co., West Virginia.2,3,4 Ordie Jake "Bud" Sigmon Sr. died on May 11, 1977 at Raleigh Co., West Virginia, at age 58.3 He Ordie Bud Sigmon, 58, of 105 Bostic Ave., died Wednesday at 10:50 p.m. in a local hospital after a long illness. Born at Stone, Ky., Feb. 4, 1919, he was a son of the late Artis and Mary Johnson Sigmon. Sigmon had lived in Beckley the past three years, living most of his life in Wyoming County. He had also lived in Alderson for eight years. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Mabscott, a World War II veteran, a retired coal miner and a member of the UMWA. Surviving are his wife, Eileen Collinsworth Sigmon; a son, Ordie Jr., Beckley; two daughters, Mrs. Shirley Arndt, Beckley, and Miss Brenda Sigmon, at home; three brothers, Raymond, Princeton, Charles, Oak Hill and Henry, Radcliffe, Ky; two sisters, Mrs. Irene Hodge, Charleston and Mrs. Myrtle Damewood, Seminole, Fla; and two grandchildren. A son, Gene Raymond, died in 1971. Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel with the Rev. L. A. Garten in charge with burial to be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. on May 13, 1977.3
