     Viola May Holland was buried at Franklin Memorial Park, Virgil Goode Highway, Rocky Mount, Franklin Co., Virginia.8 She was born on April 7, 1932 at Franklin Co., Virginia.6 As of August 24, 1952,her married name was Harmon.7 She married Dewey Austin Harmon on August 24, 1952 at Boones Mill, Franklin Co., Virginia.1,2,4,7,8 Viola May Holland died on April 20, 2015 at Virginia at age 83.8 She Viola May Holland Harmon left this earth on Monday, April 20, 2015, to begin her new life in Heaven. She is now pain free and celebrating once again with her loved ones, her parents, Willard and Minnie Holland; her sisters, Myrtle Holland Webb and Bea Holland Angell; and her brothers, Myron and Wilson Holland. She will also be greeted in Heaven by her three grandsons whom she has missed greatly, Tommy Kirby, Davy Kirby, and Kyle Harmon. Left behind to cherish Viola's life are her sister, Alice Holland Campbell; and her brother, Ray (Nancy) Holland. She is survived by the love of her life, Dewey Harmon. Viola also leaves behind two daughters, Faith Harmon Kirby and Vicky (Hubert) White; a son, Mark (Gloria) Harmon; six grandchildren, Carlye Beverly, Chad Kirby, Patrick Harmon, Julie Ann Harmon Pullen, Benjamin Harmon, and Brian Harmon; and four great-grandchildren, Audrey and Tessa Harmon, and Logan and Lucy Pullen. Viola leaves behind many special nieces, nephews, and very special sister and brother-in-laws. The family would also like to thank Gentle Shepherd Hospice for their help and kindness. Viola retired from Eli Lilly where she worked for 26 years with many very good friends. She leaves a legacy of love and compassion, having always shared whatever she had with those in need and those she loved. A Graveside Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2015, at Franklin Memorial Park. Viola loved flowers of all kinds. on April 22, 2015.8

     Dewey Austin Harmon was buried at Franklin Memorial Park, Virgil Goode Highway, Rocky Mount, Franklin Co., Virginia.5 He was born on January 19, 1933 at Franklin Co., Virginia.6 He married Viola May Holland, daughter of Willard Maynard Holland and Minnie Gaye Walters, on August 24, 1952 at Boones Mill, Franklin Co., Virginia.1,2,3,4,7 Dewey Austin Harmon died on November 26, 2016 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 83.5 He Dewey Austin Harmon of Roanoke, Va., was a young 83 years old when he left his earthly home on Saturday, November 26, 2016. He is now a happy pain free spirit living in our Father's house of many rooms. Dad's death is bitter sweet we, the survivors, are disappointed that we did not have more time with him, but we are glad for his new life and his reunion with family and friends in a Heavenly home that we can only imagine. Dad was preceded in death by his wife, Viola; his parents, Noah and Elsie Harmon; his sister, Beatrice Jordan; brothers, Floyd Harmon and Billy Harmon; along with multiple sisters and brothers-in-law. He was also preceded in death by son-in-law, Thomas Kirby; and three grandsons Tommy Kirby, Davy Kirby and Kyle Harmon. Dad is survived by his sister, Maime Sink; and brothers, Elwood (Juanita) Harmon and Frank (Bonnie) Harmon. Also surviving are his daughters, Faith Kirby, and Vickie (Hubert) White; son, Mark (Gloria) Harmon; grandchildren, Patrick (Ashley) Harmon, Julie Ann (Norman) Pullen, Benjamin Harmon, Brian Harmon and Carlye Beverly; and four great-grandchildren. Dad never met a stranger, loved being outdoors in his garden, or working on his cars and lawn mowers. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, the Redskins, and many different TV evangelists, particularly Billy Graham. A Celebration of his Life will be held during a Graveside Service at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at Franklin Memorial Park. on November 29, 2016.5

     Walter Elijah "Dud" Campbell Sr. was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5737 Airport Road NW, Roanoke, Virginia.1 He was born on December 6, 1928 at Boones Mill, Franklin Co., Virginia.1,3 He married Alice Susan Holland, daughter of Willard Maynard Holland and Minnie Gaye Walters, on June 6, 1952 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.4,5,6,1,2 Walter Elijah "Dud" Campbell Sr. died on June 18, 2012 at Roanoke Co., Virginia, at age 83.1 He Walter Elijah (Dud) Campbell Sr., 83, of Roanoke County, died Monday, June 18, 2012, at his home following a long illness. Dud was born in Roanoke County December 6, 1928, and lived in the area all of his life. He was the son of the late Pete and Nannie Weaver Campbell. Dud was also affectionately known as "Pops" by many who knew and loved him. He was a lifetime member of Clearbrook Grace Brethren Church, serving as a Deacon. Dud was a well-known and respected plumber in the Roanoke Valley and surrounding area for over 60 years. He loved plumbing so much, that after he retired, he worked with his sons in Campbell Plumbing. In addition to his parents, Dud was preceded in death by his son, Walter Elijah Campbell Jr; and brothers, Sam, Bill, and David. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, his "sweet little sugar baby", Alice Holland Campbell; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Amy Campbell; grandchildren, Jason and Jessica Campbell; great-granddaughters, Ashlee Campbell and Destiny Keaton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Barry Beamer, Margaret and Forrest Bussey, Betty Whitworth, and Goldie and DeLloyd Alderman; and many other relatives, nieces, nephews, and loved ones. Dud's family would like to thank the staff of Lewis Gale Hospital, especially Gretchen for being such an angel, and Mary and Patti and the staff of Good Samaritan Hospice. A celebration of Dud's life will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2012, at Lotz Funeral Home, 1001 Franklin Road, Roanoke, with the Reverend Paul Sink and the Reverend Leonard Martin officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Clearbrook Grace Brethren Church, 5922 Brethren Road, Roanoke, Virginia 24014. on June 20, 2012.1
