The Boy Scouts recognized Anna's leadership achievements by awarding her the coveted Silver Beaver award. At the St. Elizabeth's church, Anna volunteered for many committees, guilds and good works projects. Anna lived her life with high energy and a zest for living and learning. She was never afraid to take up the mantel for good works. She could be counted on. She was compassionate but she also believed in self reliance. These were values that she instilled in her children.
