Lane, Jr. Richards last three years were spent at Virginia Veterans Care Center where he was well loved and taken good care of. His hobbies were working with Special Olympics area XVIII in Covington, 610 Covington Moose Lodge, Roanoke Moose Lodge 284, camping, traveling in his motorhome, taking trips on his Harley motorcycle with his soulmate, Sarah. He has gone to Heaven where the streets are made of Gold, and he will be able to ride his Harley that he so loved. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to yard sales. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Howard E. Lamb and David E. Lamb; two brothers; and two sisters. Surviving is his former wife and mother of his children, Stella Riley; two sons, Michael E. Lamb and his wife Deborah and Kenneth E. Lamb; three grandchildren, Evan Lamb, Caitlin (Lamb) Fahey and her husband James, and Colleen Lamb; one great-grandchild, Norah Lamb; and a special friend, Barbara Counts; a half-sister; and his faithful pet cat, "Rascal" also survive.
