Eulah Hyacinth "Hycie" Gay was buried at Evergreen Burial Park, 1307 Summit Ave SW, Roanoke, Virginia.1 Her married name was Orange.1 She married Aubrey Earl Orange, son of Clarence Godwin Orange and Rouie Frank Craft.1,2 Eulah Hyacinth "Hycie" Gay was born on October 21, 1908 at Virginia.1 She died on October 1, 2006 at Virginia at age 97.1 She Eulah Hyacinth "Hycie" Gay Orange, 97, of Roanoke, Virginia, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 1, 2006. Born, October 21, 1908, she was the daughter of the late William James Gay and Louise Anna Dean Gay. She was a former member of Oakland Baptist Church. She attended high school in Roanoke City. Hycie's hobby was crocheting. She made beautiful hats and bags and other accessories. Her love for dogs over the years included her two Dachshunds, her German Boxer and her Shar-pei. She loved stuffed animals especially her frogs. She had them all over her house, had frog bracelets, earrings, sweaters and so forth. She loved her many trips going deep-sea, fishing, with her husband and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Earl Orange of Roanoke; seven brothers, James, Norman, Gordon Frank, George, Jack and Richard Gay; and two sisters, Elizabeth Collins and Anna May Lundy. She is survived by three sisters, Doris Oyler and Bette Jean Gay of Roanoke and Louise Sowers of Bradenton, Fla. Having no children of her own, she helped raise her younger siblings. She also kept her nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews from time to time. She had a special fondness for her nephew, Stephen Scott and nieces, Valerie Scott and Donna Deaubler. The family wishes to thank Friendship Manor Healthcare for the 2½ years she was there under their care. Services will be at Oakey's North at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2006, with Dr. Tom Cribb officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Burial Park. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at Oakey's North Chapel. on October 3, 2006.1

Jerry Edwin Robertson was born on December 3, 1943 at Montgomery, Fayette Co., West Virginia.3,4 He married Madeline Belle "Billie" Mullins on November 20, 1965 at Clifton Forge, Alleghany Co., Virginia.4,5 Jerry Edwin Robertson died on February 3, 2014 at Montgomery Co., Virginia, at age 70.4,6 He Jerry Edwin Robertson, 70, of Christiansburg, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2014, at Lewis-Gale Montgomery Hospital. Jerry was born on December 3, 1943, in Montgomery, W.Va., the son of the late Cammie Craft Robertson and James Robertson; the step-son of the late Jason Gore and Janie Robertson. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 48 years, Billie Mullins Robertson; son, Jeffrey Robertson and his wife, Sharon; and their daughter and great joy of Jerry's life, Jenna. Also surviving are Jerry's brother, Jimmy and his wife, Joann; and a host of nieces and nephews. Jerry had retired after serving 32 years as student systems analyst for Virginia Tech and proudly remained a lifetime Hokie. He enjoyed bowling and, in his later years, loving spending time watching trains and planes with his granddaughter, Jenna. In keeping with Jerry's wishes, no memorial service is planned. His family will welcome visitors at the family home. on February 5, 2014.4

He was the son of the late Robert F. and Bertha Reid Craft. A brother, Robert R. Craft; and sister; Elizabeth C. Wright also preceded him in death. Mr. Craft retired from the Army and Army National Guard as MSG E-8, after 28 years of service. He also retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in 1988 a Supervisor of Code 133, Quality Assurance. He was active in many organizations, including the Exchange Club of Warwick where he twice served as President. He served as President of the Original Club and for three years, served as President of the F.M.A. (Federal Managers Assoc.) where he was still active until 2005. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Betty Larman Craft; daughter, Rebecca C. Hockaday and son-in-law, Douglas R. Hockaday, Sr; three grandsons, Douglas R. Hockaday, Jr., Matthew T. Hockaday and Alexander G. Hockaday; a step-granddaughter, Kristy Daniel; two step-great-granddaughters, Skye and Scarlett Daniel of Carrollton, Georgia; two sisters, Jayne Putnam of Clifton Forge, Donna Craft of Ladson, South Carolina; and a sister-in-law, Cheryl M. Holmes, of Richmond. The family will receive friends 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 13, followed by a memorial service at noon, at Peninsula Funeral Home. The Rev. George Insley will officiate and burial will be private. Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org. Wright Sr., devoted husband, father and grandfather, died peacefully at home on Monday, Nov. 19, 2001, after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Russell and Piney Hostetter Wright and was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret B. Gali. He was a native of Clifton Forge, Va., and retired in 1985 after 37 years from the C & O Railroad as a machinist supervisor. He belonged to the American Railroad Supervisors Association. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and had also served in the National Guard and obtained the rank of master sergeant. He leaves to cherish his memory his best friend and wife of 56 years, Elizabeth C. Wright; his son, E.T. Wright Jr. and his wife, Liz; his daughters, Ann W. Howell and her husband, Murry, and Ellen W. Wilson and her husband, Mike; 10 grandchildren, Taylor, Ian, Zach and Emily Wright, Josh and Jake Howell, Carrie, Courtney, Catelyn and Cassie Wilson; two step grandchildren, Murray B. Howell Jr. and Harry K. Howell; three step-great-grandchildren, Julliette, Oliver and Lizzie; three brothers, Ollie S. Wright of Clifton Forge, Va., Alfred C. Wright of Florida and James W. Wright of Newport News; and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his faithful companion of 10 years, Ranger. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, in Windsor Gardens Cemetery in Dutton, Va., by the Rev. Walt Person. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. before the service. Memorial donations may be made to the Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 1417, Gloucester, VA 23061 or the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society, P.O. Box 385, Gloucester, VA 23061.
