     Iva Gay Nichols was buried at Hill Crest Cemetery, Blue Ridge, Botetourt Co., Virginia.1 She was born on September 7, 1937 at Floyd Co., Virginia.4,2 As of February 28, 1955,her married name was Dudding.3 She married Charles Willard "Pete" Dudding, son of Raymond Earl Dudding and Lydia Janie Dooley, on February 28, 1955 at Bedford Co., Virginia.1,3 Iva Gay Nichols died on May 18, 2012 at Virginia at age 74.1,4 She Iva Nichols Dudding, 74, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord early Friday morning, May 18, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Doc and Mary Nichols; infant daughter, Deborah Kay Dudding; her twin sister, Iris Leonard; sister, Margie Brown; brother, Paul Nichols; great-granddaughter, Sophia Clair Long; and a son-in-law, Eddie Bush.
Iva was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Charles W. (Pete) Dudding, sons, Charles W. Dudding Jr., and his wife, Debbie; David Dudding; daughters, Linda G. Shepherd and her husband, Melvin, Nancy L. Hall and her husband, Darrel Sr., nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother; six sisters; and many other family members and friends. Funeral service will be held 3:30 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2012, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, Chaplain Roger Graves will officiate, and the interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery (beside Colonial Baptist Church) in Blue Ridge. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 19, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Oakey's Vinton Chapel. Arrangements by Oakey's Vinton Chapel, Vinton. on May 19, 2012.1
