Mr. Crowder was preceded in death by one son, Roger L. Crowder Sr., two grandsons, one granddaughter and two brothers. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 27, 1996, 2 p.m., at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Troutville, with the Rev. Carter Sloan officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Troutville Rescue Squad. on January 26, 1996.4

She is survived by her son, Douglas Gibson and wife, Janet, of Troutville; daughter, Kay Mills and husband, Gary, of Hardy; sisters, Ruby Collins, of Roanoke, and Thelma Jones, of Chester; brother, Clyde Crowder and wife, Lottie, of Daleville; sisters-in-law, Hazel Crowder, of Troutville, and Juanita Moore, of Roanoke; grandsons, Brian Gibson, of Troutville, and Mark Gibson and wife, Karen, of Rocky Mount; and greatgrandchildren, Austin Gibson and Matthew Lee, of Troutville, Douglas Gibson, of Rocky Mount, and Leslie Grimes, Christine Gibson, and Michael Gibson, of Norfolk. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 8, 2010, at Troutville Cemetery with Pastor Chris Foster officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon prior to the service at the Rader Funeral Home in Daleville. The family wants to extend their special thanks to Liz Falls, CNA at Berkshire for the kind and loving care given to our mother.      Earl Lee Crowder Sr. was buried at Troutville Cemetery, Troutville, Botetourt Co., Virginia.3 He married Hazel Gibson.3,6 Earl Lee Crowder Sr. was born on February 11, 1923 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.3 He died on January 7, 2010 at Daleville, Botetourt Co., Virginia, at age 86.3 He Earl Lee Crowder Sr., 86, of Troutville, Va., passed away on January 7, 2010, at Carrington Place in Daleville. Mr. Crowder was born on February 11, 1923, in Roanoke Co., Va., and has lived here his entire life. He was a member of the Patterson Memorial Grace Brethren Church in Roanoke and was a life member of the VFW. He served in the United States Army and worked for General Motor Lines in Roanoke as a Truck Driver for about 20 years. He loved to garden and hunt. Mr. Crowder is survived by his wife, Hazel, of Troutville; two sons, Mike Crowder, of Troutville, and Corky and his wife, Linda, of Troutville. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jeff Crowder, of Roanoke, Greg Crowder, of New Castle, Larry Crowder, of Fincastle, Meagan Crowder, of Raleigh, N.C., Melissa Crowder, of Radford, Va; stepgrandchildren, Daren Taylor, of Roanoke, Karen Peters, of Roanoke, and Wendy Purdue, of Salem. He is also survived by three sisters, Lyla Gibson, of Vinton, Ruby Collins, of Roanoke and Thelma Jones, of Chester, Va; and one brother, Clyde Crowder, of Daleville. He is also survived by greatgrandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and special neighbors, Bruce, Duckie and Clint Switzer. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Patterson Memorial Grace Brethren Church, 5512 Hollins Rd., Roanoke. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, January 8, 2010, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home and services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 9, 2010, at Rader Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Eshelman officiating. Interment will follow in the Troutville Cemetery. Arrangements by Rader Funeral Home, Daleville, Va. on January 8, 2010.3
