W., Roanoke, Virginia.^2,3 She was born on September 3, 1935 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.^2,4 As of June 27, 1953,her married name was Trenor.⁴ She married Leo Bazil Trenor on June 27, 1953 at Roanoke, Virginia.^2,3,4,7 Patricia Ann "Pat" Brown died on November 25, 1993 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 58.³ She TRENOR, Patricia Brown, ("Pat"), 58, of Roanoke, died Thursday, November 25, 1993 in a local hospital. She was co-owner of Anchor Sales and Service, Inc. Surviving are her husband, Leo B. Trenor; sons and daughters-in-law, Mark A. and Tenita Trenor, Mikel L. and Sheryl Trenor, all of Salem; grandchildren, Abby Trenor, Nathan Trenor; mother, Esther V. Brown, Roanoke; sisters, Norma Jean Dearing, Roanoke, Shelley Vaughan, Vinton.      Norma Jean Brown was born on June 20, 1939 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.^6,3,4 As of June 1, 1958,her married name was Dearing.³ She married Versal Ray/Rae Dearing on June 1, 1958 at Roanoke, Virginia.^6,3,4 Norma Jean Brown and Versal Ray/Rae Dearing were divorced on April 21, 1978 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.^7,4 Norma Jean Brown died on November 2, 2020 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 81.⁴ She Norma "Jean" Brown Dearing, 81, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2020. She was born on June 20, 1939, daughter of the late Esther Mae Vest Brown and Damon David Brown. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Trenor. Jean was retired from Kroger and Roanoke City Schools – Bus Services where she served as a special needs bus aide. She was a member of Layman Church. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Ann M. Durham (Mike); sons, David W. Dearing (Michelle) and Jeff S. Dearing (Melinda); sister, Shelley Wainwright (Jack); seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her former husband, Versal Dearing. W., Roanoke, Virginia.⁵ His Social Security Number was 228-38-0644.⁶ He was born on July 28, 1933 at Roanoke, Virginia.^4,6,5 He married Patricia Ann "Pat" Brown, daughter of Damon David Brown and Esther Mae Vest, on June 27, 1953 at Roanoke, Virginia.^1,2,3,5 Leo Bazil Trenor died on November 11, 2004 at Roanoke Co., Virginia, at age 71.^6,5 He Leo Bazil Trenor, 71, of Roanoke, departed this life unexpectedly on Thursday, November 11, 2004 at a local hospital. He was born July 28, 1933 in Roanoke, where he lived all his life. He was the son of the late Willie C. Trenor and Mina Obenshain. As all who knew Leo, also known as "Batfish" to many, knows he was a one of a kind character. He loved his many model T's, tractors, and his farm, where he spent many hours of his day. Leo was the head meat cutter at Kroger for 19 years before opening Anchor Truck Accessories, which he owned with his son Mike. He was also the owner of the Automotive Radiator Shop and was president of Cranky T's Model T Club. He served in the Virginia State Automotive Dealers Group as an executive director and lobbyist and was a strong member and friend to Virginia's Republican Party. He was also a member of the Kiwanis Club, Kazim Temple and Masonic Lodge. Surviving are his wife, Helen Davis Trenor of Roanoke; son, Mark A. Trenor of Salem, son and daughter-in-law, Mikel and Sheryl Trenor; grandchildren, Abby and Nathan Trenor of Salem; and brother, E. C. Trenor of Roanoke. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia B. Trenor who died in November of 1993. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Salem with Rev. Harry Miller officiating. Interment will be held immediately following the service at Cedar Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday November 15, 2004 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and until the time of service on Tuesday at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. She was a Rehabilitation Counselor for RSVP in Richmond; was active in the Riverlawn PTO; and was a member of the Radford Christian Church, where she taught Sunday School. In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband, Roy Samuel Anderson of Radford; a daughter, Jessica Marie Anderson; a son, Lucas ("Luke") Samuel Anderson, both of the home; a sister, Deborah K. Vest of Richmond; two brothers, Gary L. Vest of Richmond, and William Holt Vest of Summersville, S.C; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joe and Marie Jackson of Radford; and many special friends. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, October 16, 1998 at Radford Christian Church, with the Rev. Dennis Martin officiating. Interment will follow in West View Cemetery in Radford.      Elmer Franklin Riggins was buried at Willis Cemetery, atop a hill on south side of Rt. 772, Floyd Co., Virginia.^2,3,4 His Social Security Number was 230-12-6741.⁶ He was born on February 8, 1919 at Jackson Ferry, Wythe Co., Virginia.^1,6,7,3,4 He married Lucy Jane Poff, daughter of William Alton Poff and Ruth Ellen Janney, on June 4, 1986 at Floyd, Floyd Co., Virginia; Elmer was a widow when he married Lucy.^1,8 Elmer Franklin Riggins died on February 21, 1998 at Floyd Co., Virginia, at age 79.^6,2,3,4,5 He RIGGINS, Elmer Franklin, 79, of Willis, went to be with the Lord Saturday, February 21, 1998. He lived in Willis and was a veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Violet DeHart Riggins and a son, Raymond Herbert Riggins. He was a member of Floyd Church of God. Surviving are his wife, Lucy Riggins, of the home; eight sons, Matt Riggins, Willie Riggins, Joe Riggins and Bobby Riggins, all of Max Meadows, Roy Riggins of Kansas, Ronnie Riggins, Willis, Billy Riggins, Floyd, Mike Patterson, Barren Springs; four daughters, Louise Warden, Pulaski, Charlotte Alexander, Draper, Violet Haynes, Hillsville, Sarah Little of North Carolina; stepdaughter, Shirley Weddle, Floyd; adopted daughter, Kristina Riggins, of the home; two brothers, Bert Riggins, Hillsville, Gilbert Riggins, Pulaski; sister, Goldie Dalton, Barren Spring; 35 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 13 stepgrandchildren; and 15 stepgreat-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Gardner Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Clyde Bishop, the Rev. R. J. Buttery and the Rev. James Lawson officiating. Interment will follow in Willis Cemetery. Friends may call after 12 noon Monday at Gardner Funeral Home, where the family will be from 7 to 9 p.m.
