She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Zula Iddings; and sister, Bonnie Iddings. Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Milford Duane Welch; her children, son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Chrissy Welch, daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Richard Doucette, son and friend, Randy Welch and Jennifer Fahey; grandchildren, Oak Welch, Brooke Welch, and Emma Doucette. Lois helped form and retired from Member One Federal Credit Union. She was also a devoted member of Franklin Heights Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Franklin Heights Baptist Church with Dr. Stan Parris and the Rev. Mark Griffith officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Sociey. Her family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Franklin Heights Baptist Church. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount. on October 25, 2015.2

He was born on September 30, 1930, to the late Frank Elmer Welch and Ella Pearl Welch in Albright, W.Va. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois G. Welch, as well as his sisters, Madeline Welch, Nita Leaseburg, Leta Crane; and brothers, Charles Welch and Dallas Welch. He is survived by his three children, Bob (Christine), Cindy Doucette (Richard), Randy (Jen Fahey); and three grandchildren, Oak Welch, Brooke Welch, and Emma Doucette. Milford graduated from Kingwood, W.Va., High School, and attended West Virginia University where he received a B.S. in Dairy Science ('53) and M.S in Agronomy ('60). He served in the United States Army from 1954 through 1955 as an Artillery Crewman. Milford and Lois moved to Rocky Mount, Va., in 1960. Milford worked for Virginia Cooperative Extension as a County Agent and later at Kroger. They attended Rocky Mount United Methodist Church and Franklin Heights Baptist Church. Milford enjoyed gardening, West Virginia History, following WVU sports, and grandparenting. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, with Mr. Tom Worrell officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Park. on January 6, 2020.4

Furrow Jr. died on April 1, 2018 at Callaway, Franklin Co., Virginia, at age 72.3 He Buren Layne (B.L.) Furrow Jr., 72 of Callaway, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 1, 2018. He was born February 2, 1946 to the late Buren Layne Furrow Sr. and Era King Furrow. Excluding a few years he served in the Army during the Vietnam War, he lived his entire life in Callaway, Va. The Callaway community held a special place in his heart. He spent 47 years as a machinist for Fisher Auto Parts. Over the years, he acquired many friends in the automotive and racing industries. He loved bluegrass music and a great partner for a little "flat footing". Survivors include his partner and fiance' for 23 years Alease Hatcher; sons Steven (Lettitia) Furrow and Matthew (Dana) Furrow; grandchildren Ethan, Benjamin, Rylan, and Emerson Furrow; sister Lynda (Henry) Messenger; and several nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Carilion Hospice- Franklin and the love and care provided by Elizabeth Boyle, Faye Beckner, Toni Stump, Betsy Mason, Kristen Altice, Tina King and Frances Sink. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Callaway Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad. Funeral services will be conducted from Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home (Town Chapel) 11 a.m. Thursday with Chaplain Rick Poland officiating.
