She was a woman of prayer, inspiration, encouragement, and action who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Funeral Services will be held at noon on Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Harbor of Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church, 2720 Roanoke Street, Christiansburg. Her sons will officiate the service. A private interment will follow. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. on Friday, March 29, 2013, at Harbor of Hope. on March 29, 2013.2

Born December 1, 1941 in Floyd, Va., he was the son of the late Hosea Hungate and Nina H. Franklin. In 1977, Bishop Kingrea was licensed and ordained as a minister in the International Pentecostal Holiness Church (IPHC) and was an active minister in the Appalachian Conference of the IPHC for over 40 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years, Juanita Marcella Kingrea; and his twin brother, Samuel Jay Kingrea. Left to cherish his memory are his three children, Towana Kingrea-Kitts of Christiansburg, Va., the Rev. Ray Kingrea and wife, Sandy of Lynchburg, Va., and the Rev. Brian Kingrea and wife Kay of Gaithersburg, Md; one sister, Shirley Cox and husband Richard of Catawba, Va; one brother, the Rev. Richard Kingrea and wife, Renee of Christiansburg, Va. He was the beloved grandfather to eight grandchildren, Bethany Creger, Hannah Venable (husband Michael), Andrew Kingrea (wife, Sydnah), Jessica Barbir (husband, Timothy), Dakota Kingrea, Zachary Kingrea (wife, Candice), Cheyenne Kingrea, and Tacoma Kingrea (wife, Chrissy); and great-grandfather to 10 great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Ezra, Willow, Anderson, Kennedy, Ruth, Cash, Carter, Laurel, and Aaron. He is also survived by his loving wife of three years, Nita Martin Kingrea, numerous nieces and nephews who he loved as his own, as well as many other relatives and close friends. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and current state-mandated restrictions, there will be no public viewing. A private funeral service will be held at Harbor of Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church in Christiansburg, Va., with interment to follow at the Appalachian Conference Cemetery in Dublin, Va. on December 17, 2020.6

Harman; one daughter and son-in-law, Jenny and Douglas Kidd of Salem, Va; and one son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Cindy Harman of Kannopolis, N.C; two grandchildren, Nathan and Christy Kidd; and two stepgrandsons, Scott and Jeff Adams; one sister and brother-in-law, Jack and Polly Eggleston of Petersburg; two sisters-in-law, Marie J. Harman and Hope L. Harman; one special Chinese family, Axing and Lijuan You and Jennifer and Joseph; two aunts, Bertha Harman of Princeton, W.Va. and Reba Shelor of Martinsville, Va; several nieces and nephews. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery. on May 13, 2000.1

     Betsy Ann Banks Betsy Ann Harman (Banks), September 6th, 1931 - November 15th, 2022. Betsy Banks Harman, 91, of Salem, VA peacefully went to Heaven to be with her Lord on Wednesday, November 15, 2022. She was born to Wayne Montgomery and Cumbia Hicks Banks in Carrol County, VA. Her loving husband, William (Bill) M. Harman passed away in 2000. Left to cherish her memory, children; William Thomas (Tom) Harman and late daughter-in-law, Cindy Harman; Jenny Harman Kidd and her husband Douglas Edward Kidd; four grandchildren, Nathan Edward Kidd and wife Sophie, Christy Kidd Schucker and husband, Matt, Scott Adams and his wife Wendy, and Jeff Adams; eight great-grandchildren, Naomi, Abigail, Zackary, Ella, Daisy, Andrew, Serena, and Yasmine. Her great-grandchildren were the light of her life, and she took great pleasure in knowing and loving them. Betsy spent most of her adult life in Christiansburg, VA where she and Bill were active members of Main Street Baptist Church. Bill Was a deacon and Betsy visited shut-ins and they both served in many areas of ministry. Betsy moved to Salem after Bill’s passing and became an active member of Rosalind Hills Baptist Church where she continued to serve in the church and made many good friends. When Betsy could no longer live at home she moved to Salem Terrace and appreciated all they did to serve her. Later when her health began to fail, Good Samaritan Hospice staff joined in to address end-of-life needs. The family is very grateful for all the care and love shown by both groups and thank them for all their love and effort in making Betsy’s life as comfortable as possible. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery located in Christiansburg, VA.3 She was buried at Sunset Cemetery, North Franklin Street, Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.3 She was born on September 6, 1931 at Hillsville, Carroll Co., Virginia.1,2,4,3 As of March 20, 1952,her married name was Harman.
