She was a member of Covenant Church in Shepherdstown. She is survived by two daughters, Nona Hager of Martinsburg and Karen Aliff of Shepherdstown; four sisters, Ethel Nunley of Radford, Va., Eva Asbury and Hazel Collins, both of Abbs Valley, Va., and Mary L. Taylor of Charleston, W.Va; two brothers, Herman Shrader and Dewey Shrader, both of Abbs Valley; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Irene Shrader. Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg. The Rev. Al Clipp will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shepherdstown Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box F, Shepherdstown, WV 25443 or to a charity of one's choice. on October 21, 2005.4

Surviving: son, Richard Elmore of Lake Park; stepson, Donald W. Branscome of Harrogate, Tenn; daughter, Elaina Burnett of Lake Park; brother, Carlton N. Elmore of Altoona, Iowa; sisters, Jeanette Drennen of Oak Hill and Kay Marie Chapman of Heathsville, Va; granddaughters, Karla Bright of Hillard, Fla., and Lindsey Gonzalez of Valdosta, Ga; grandson, Jerry Loper of Valdosta; great-grandchildren, Kailey Nolan, Justin Loper, Cody Bright and Tristan Gonzalez; aunts, Edna Nicholas and Genevieve Elmore of Scarbro; nephews, Gary Elmore and Richard Mascilak; nieces, Pamela Strong and Deborah Taylor; and many cousins. He is also survived by his former wife and life-long friend, Anne Elmore of Lake Park, and sister-in-law and special friend, Janet Hunter of Burlington, N.C. Graveside rites, with arrangements by Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 16 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley, with Robert Creed officiating. She is survived by brother Carlton N. and Carol Elmore of Altoona, Iowa, cousin Margaret Lee Woodard who helped care for her and special “family” who also cared for her, Sheila and James Fitzwater, and children Elijah Olds and Jacob Fitzwater.
