He was the widower of Mary Elizabeth Burch Boblett. Born in Botetourt County, Nov. 17, 1920, he was a son of the late Isaac Dennis and Jennie Ayres Boblett. Mr. Boblett was a member of the Presbyterian church, the VFW and American Legion Post 16. He was retired from the Appalachian Power Company where he worked for 47 years. He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Ollie B. Hancock of Nitro, W.Va., Mrs. Reba B. Childress and Miss Evelyn M. Boblett, both of Lynchburg; numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews including Kayli, Haley, Amber, and Skyler. The Rev. Don Wilson will hold a funeral service at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel. Burial will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park with Military Honors by American Legion Post 16. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Diuguid Waterlick Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

She born Feb. 23, 1925, in Montgomery, a daughter of the late Roy Ellis and Pansy Lee Huddleston Boyd. She was a homemaker, co-founder of God's Church in Evergreen Hills and assisted her late husband in the ministry. Surviving are her sons, Joe Burch of Cottageville and Bill Burch of Belleville, Ill; daughter, Beverly Smith of Cottageville; brother, Roy E. Boyd of Glen Ferris; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Russell Burch; brothers, Robert Lee Boyd, Franklin Boyd, William Boyd; sister, Yvonne Boyd. Service will be2 Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001, at 11 a.m. at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, with the Rev. Anton Hager and the Rev. Mark Price officiating. Burial will follow in Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. on October 28, 2001.3
