     Marguerite Ackermann Marguerite Ackermann Howell passed away on Friday, May 7, 2004 at the age of 89. She was a member of Laurel Heights Seventh Day Adventist Church where she served as Treasurer and the head of the Dorcus Society. Marguerite worked at Kelly AFB for 28 years, where she retired. Her family describes her as "Always there for anyone who needed her." She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Howell. Surviving are her daughter, Arlene Pittman; grandchildren, Sheryl Babiak and her husband Bob, Brian Pittman, David Pittman and his wife Cynthia; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild on the way. She is also survived by her brothers and sister, William Ackermann of Seabrook, TX, Douglas Ackermann of San Antonio, TX and Dorothy Eastwood of Fresno, CA. Funeral Services will be held in Sunset Mausoleum II Chapel.
