     Tonya Elaine Danieley Tonya Elaine Danieley White, 39, of the Elgood Road, Pettry, died early Sunday morning, February 28, 2010 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born December 31, 1970, at Waynesboro, VA, she was the daughter of the Lucy Helton Danieley Nickels of Florida and the late Ronnie Keith Danieley. Tonya was a graduate of Athens High School, Class of 1989, she attended Concord College in Athens and had earned an associate degree from Valley College. She had worked as a receptionist for Dr. Marshall Long for several years and was currently working at the Deli Mart in Athens. Tonya was a member of Pettry Church of Christ and had taught Sunday school. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 33 of Athens. For those who knew Tonya, she loved life and was of a free spirit, enjoyed the outdoors and had the opportunity to take many pictures of nature and her family, more than anything she love spending time with her nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her father in law, Alvin White Sr. and step father Johnny Nickels. She is survived by her best friend and husband, Alvin L. Short; one brother, Edward Negosta and one sister, Billie Jean Waters. Mrs. Short was an administrative assistant for Dr. Zaman's office. She was a member of the Meyersdale Chapter #548, Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by two sons, Michael (Kimberly) Frederick, Avilton, MD; Sean (Dawn) Frederick, Raleigh, NC; one brother, Robert Negosta, Aberdeen, MD; five grandchildren, McKayleigh Wagoner, Cole Frederick, Ryleigh Frederick, Nataleigh Frederick and Samantha Frederick.³ Her married name was Frederick.³ Her married name was Short.² She married James Samuel Short.^2,3 Rita Renee Negosta married Unknown Frederick.³ Rita Renee Negosta was born on March 13, 1947 at Bramwell, Mercer Co., West Virginia.³ She died on November 8, 2023 at Berlin, Somerset Co., Pennsylvania, at age 76.³

She was born on February 3, 1949 in Washington, D.C. to the late Edward W. and Helen M. (Creasey) Negosta. After 40 years, Billie retired from Prince William County Government as an Accounting Service Coordinator. She converted to Catholicism in 2000 at All Saints Catholic Church. She was a long-time member of American Legion Auxiliary 10 and a member of the Women of the Moose, Chapter 1392. Predeceased by her parents; her step mother: Dorothy V. Negosta, her step father: Paul C. Roberts; one uncle: William Negosta; and one brother: Edward Negosta.
