     Commodore William Terry was buried at Little Hope Church Cemetery, Cove Hollow Road, near Elliston, Roanoke Co., Virginia.^2,3 He was born on June 10, 1951 at Welch, McDowell Co., West Virginia.^2,3 He died on March 19, 1966 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 14.^2,3 He A Roanoke County boy, Commodore William Terry, 14, of Bent Mountain, was dead on arrival at Roanoke Memorial hospital Saturday night after he was hit by a car on U.S. 221 on Bent Mountain. State Trooper J. Holt said the Terry boy was riding a bicycle in the westbound lane when he was hit by a westbound car driven by Wilbert Edward De Weese, 29, of Rt. 7, Roanoke County. Holt said the accident occurred about 7:15 p.m. and that the bike had no lights on it. The boys' father, a highway department employe, was killed last year while working on highway job near Starkey when a wheel came off a passing truck and struck him. on March 20, 1966.⁴

Surviving in addition to his parents, are maternal grandparents Frank A. Harris and Edith J. Harris of the home on John Baker Road, and paternal grandmother, Katherine L. Johnson of San Jose, Calif. Burial will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. on December 22, 1998.³
