"Doodle" Lawrence, son of Lemuel H. "Lem" Lawrence and Amanda "Vinnie" Taylor, on October 14, 1947 at Dobson, Surry Co., North Carolina.¹ Clyde Allene Issacs and Linwood B. "Doodle" Lawrence were divorced on May 21, 1954 at Grayson Co., Virginia.⁵ Clyde Allene Issacs died on January 30, 2013 at Sioux Falls, Minnehaha Co., South Dakota, at age 85.^4,3 She Allene Becker, 85, of Dell Rapids passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Casket bearers were Steve Becker, Tony Becker, Brian Becker, Scott Becker, Brian Becker and Keith Skatvold. Interment was in the Dell Rapids Cemetery. Allene Isaacs was born on April 12, 1927, at Austins Ville, Va., the daughter of Clyde and Willie Isaacs. She grew up in Galax, Va. and graduated from Galax High School in 1945. She attended college in Bluefield, W.Va. for two years. She worked at different jobs until she enlisted in the Air Force in 1950. She served as a high level communications specialist during the Korean conflict, earning the National Defense Service Medal and the Air Force Service Medal. While in the Air Force, she met Gerald Becker of Egan, S.D. They married on Jan. 28, 1955, at Luverne, Minn. They lived in Sioux Falls and later in 1955 they moved to Dell Rapids. She worked as a bookkeeper for L.G. Everist and Dr. Robert Merkley for many years. She married Albert Boeve on April 12, 1986 at Dell Rapids. They lived in Baltic. Mr. Boeve died in 1994. She then moved back to Dell Rapids. She was a member of the Dell Rapids United Methodist Church, Dell Rapids American Legion, the Dell Rapids Golf Course and served on the Dell Rapids Ambulance Service. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Jack (Charlotte) Lawrence of Galax, Va., Steve (Ilene) Becker of Albuquerque, N.M., Tony (Dianne) Becker of Brookings and Brian (Jackie) Becker of Walcott, N.D; eight grandchildren; four great-granddaughters and her brothers, Grayson Isaac of Jacksonville, Fla, Joe Isaac of Independence, Va. and Ray (Susan) Isaacs of Galax, Va. on February 6, 2013.³

He was retired from the United States Navy with 20 years active service and was employed by Montgomery County Hospital. Surviving are his wife, Mary Frances Cruise; one son, David L. Cruise, Blacksburg; three daughters, Rodonna C. Dove, Belinda C. Hypes, both of Blacksburg; Pamela Sue Cruise, Christiansburg; his father, Cam L.      David Lake Cruise David Lake Cruise, age 67, of Montgomery County, went home to be with the lord and all his past loved ones, on Friday, March 18, 2022, at home in Blacksburg, VA, to rejoin with his Father Aubrey Adolphus Cruise, Mother Mary Francis Cruise; children, David "Scotty" Cruise, Lindsey Cruise Ford, and Thomas Christopher "Chris" Cruise, sister Rodonna Sutphin, and spouse Deborah Roman Cruise, whom we lost earlier this month. He came into this world in Montgomery County, VA on March 20, 1954. He was a retired Virginia Tech employee and a faithful member of the Harley Davidson community. David was dearly loved by all his family/friends and celebrated the life of his late children. His grandchildren will dearly miss their pawpaw's presence. He is survived by his son, David "Shawn" Cruise; sisters, Pam Young and Belinda Hypes; nephews, John Young, Vincent Price, Justin Price; nieces, Whitney Young, Mary Dennis; grandchildren, Sophia Cruise, Benjamin Horton, Ella Cruise, Peyton Cruise, Aubrey Ford, Casandra Cruise, Oceanna Matney, Joseph Culverhouse, Johnathon Cruise, Raven Cruise. David is also survived by many extended family, Harley Davidson family and dear friends. She was the daughter of the late Aubrey and Mary Frances Cruise. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Rodonna Sutphin; brother-in-law, Allen Sutphin; brother, David L. Cruise; and sister-in-law Debbie Cruise. She is survived by her companion/forever friend James (Jug) Donathan; daughter, Oceanna Cruise Matney; son-in-law, Geoff Matney; sister, Pamela C. Young; brother-in-law, Thomas E.
